(fold here) Dear Family Member: This week we re reading a nonfiction story called, Hidden Worlds. It s about Dennis Kunkel. When he was ten years old, he got a microscope for Christmas. He was fascinated with all the things he could put under a microscope and study. I like the way the author tells us about Kunkel. He tells it in order, from when he got his first microscope to his studies in high school, and then college. It s helpful to know the order in which things happen in reading about a person. Below we can write down events we know of in the person s life, as well as how the person changed over time. Now we can put the events from the opposite page in order by writing a short biography.
