3 Step 1: Assembling the SKID runners to axle: a. According to Figure 1, slide the axle (4) into the 8 or 10 axle holes on the skid runner assemblies (5) and (6) depending on the wheel size. See Figure 2. b. Install both roll pins (12), tapping lightly with a hammer to center the pins on the axle such that both pins are outside the skid runners. Step 2: Assembling the frame, nose, and runners: a. Assemble LH frame (1) and nose (3) using bolts (10) and nuts (11). Do not fully tighten. See Figure 3. b. Slide the axle and skid runner assembly from Step 1 into the appropriate wheel bracket hole from Figure 4 corresponding to the same wheel size hole location from Step 1 and align the roll pin with the groove. c. Slide RH frame (2) onto axle and mount to nose (3) using bolts (10) and nuts (11). Do not fully tighten. See Figure 5. d. Secure skid runners to the frame using bolts (13) and nuts (14) in the upper position and bolts (15) and nuts (16) in the lower position. Securely tighten 1/4-20 screws (50-60 in.-lbs.) and 5/16-18 hex bolts ( in.-lbs.). Paso 1: MONTAJE DE LOS PATINES DESLIZANTES EN EL EJE: a. De acuerdo con la Ilustración 1, deslice el eje (4) en los agujeros de 8 o 10 de los conjuntos de los patines deslizantes (5) y (6) dependiendo del tamaño de la rueda. Consulte la Ilustración 2. b. Coloque los dos pasadores giratorios (12), golpeando ligeramente con un martillo para centrarlos en el eje de forma que sobresalgan de los patines deslizantes. Deslice el eje y el conjunto de los patines deslizantes del Paso 1 en el agujero adecuado del soporte de la rueda de la Ilustración 4 que corresponda con el agujero del mismo tamaño de rueda del Paso 1 y alinee el pasador giratorio con la muesca. c. Deslice el bastidor derecho (2) en el eje y monte el frontal (3) empleando los pernos (10) y las tuercas (11). No los apriete completamente. Consulte la Ilustración 5. d. Fije los patines deslizantes en el bastidor empleando los pernos (13) y tuercas (14) en la posición superior y los pernos (15) y las contratuercas (16) en la posicion inferior. Aprete seguramente los tornillos 1/4 20 (50-60 pul.-lbs.) y los pernos 5/16 18 ( pul.-lbs.). 5 Step 3: Assembling the handle to the frame: a. Place black frame caps (7) on frame as shown in Figure 6. Position the handle between the frame rails and line up holes. Fasten with screws (20) and (21) and nuts (22) and tighten securely (50-60 in.-lbs. torque). For handles P2 and R2, use screws (21) and nuts (22). b. Securely tighten the four nose bolts (10) and nuts (11) ( in.-lbs. torque). Step 4: Assembling the wheels: a. Slide two thick washers (17) on the axle as in Figure 6. b. Slide a wheel on the axle make sure the flat side of hub is on the outside of the truck. Figure 6 Ilustración 6 8 c. Slide one thin washer (18) on the axle. NOTE: If required, a second thin washer is provided to shim the wheel for tighter fit. d. Insert cotter pin (19) through the hole on the end of the axle and spread the ends with a pair of pliers. e. Repeat above assembly for the second wheel Paso 3: MONTAJE DEL ASIDERO EN EL BASTIDOR: 20 a. Coloque los capuchones negros del bastidor (7) como se muestra en la Ilustración 6. Coloque el pala entre los carriles del bastidor y alinee los agujeros. Apriete los tornillos (20) y (21) y las tuercas (22) y apriételos bien (par de apriete de pul.-lbs.). Pase una rueda por el eje... asegúrese de que el lado plano del buje queda para el lado exterior de la carretilla. 19 c. Deslice una arandela fina (18) por el eje. NOTA: En caso necesario, se proporciona una segunda arandela fina con el fin de ajustar la rueda para un montaje más tenso. d. Inserte el pasador de chaveta (19) en el agujero del extremo del eje y extienda los extremos con unas alicates. 5
