RS Stock No , , , , , , , , , General Before proceeding with the assembly of this cabinet, it is suggested that the required accessories to be fitted e.g. doors, slide units, fan trays, fans, gland plates etc. are decided upon in advance. Whilst in most cases it is possible to fit them after assembly, the process may be more difficult. Assembly of basic rack 1. Place the front frame on the floor and fasten the depth struts to the frame using the M6x30 pozidriv screws and M6 washers. Position the rear frame onto the depth struts and fasten using the M6x30 pozidriv screws and M6 washers. 2. Position 6 of the M5 captive nuts into the slots in the vertical sections of each upright members of the front and rear frames and mount the adjustable depth members to the frames using the M5x8 pozidriv screws and M5 washers. 3. Fasten the panel mounts to the adjustable depth members using the M5x10 pozidriv screws and M5 captive nuts. 4. Fit the adjustable feet into the inner four holes in the depth strut through the foot mounting bracket already fitted to the lower depth struts (see figure 2). The final foot height adjustment can be made when the unit is standing vertically. If castors are required they should be fitted now into the outer four holes in the depth struts. The adjustable feet and castors may be used in conjunction as and when required. 5. The plain top cover (supplied) may be fitted in two ways. It may be fitted using the 4 M4x12 pozidriv screws which will enable the cover to locate flush with the cabinet top. Alternatively, it may be fitted using the 4 spacers and M4x25 pozidriv screws to raise the cover above the top of the cabinet to provide ventilation for cooling purposes. Fitting optional accessories Fan tray 1. The fan tray locates in the underside of the top depth struts and is secured using the M4x8 taptite screws provided. Ventilated top cover 1. The ventilated cover replaces the plain top cover and fits flush with the cabinet top using the M4x12 taptite screws provided. Steel doors, transparent doors and ventilated rear panels The doors may be fitted to the front or rear of a cabinet, the doors and ventilated rear panels can be hung to open either to the left or the right. 1. Insert the two hinge location bushes into the front or rear frames and position the door using the sprung hinges. 2. To remove the door simply pull the sprung hinge back from the location bush and lift out. Gland plates 1. The split bottom gland plates are secured in the base of the cabinet by the M4x8 taptite screws. 19" panel mounting kit for 800x800 racks (see figure 3) 1. Fasten the vertical mounting brackets to the top and bottom, front and rear frames using the M5x10 pozidriv screws and M5 captive nuts. 2. Fasten the adjustable depth members to the vertical mounting brackets using the M5x8 pozidriv screws, M5 washers and M5 zinc nuts. 3. Fasten the panel mounts to the adjustable depth members using the M5x10 pozidriv screws and M5 captive nuts. 4. Fasten the two remaining adjustable depth members to the panel mounts in a central position. This will strengthen the mounts to prevent twisting. Shelves and chassis supports Shelves and chassis supports bolt directly to the panel mounts using the M6x12 pozidriv screws and M6 caged nuts provided. 4 Código RS , , , , , , , , , Características generales Antes de proceder al ensamblaje de este armario, se recomienda que se decida por anticipado qué accesorios se van a montar, es decir, puertas, unidades deslizantes, bandejas de los ventiladores, ventiladores, placas prensaestopa, etc. Aunque en muchos casos es posible montar los accesorios después del ensamblaje, el proceso puede ser más difícil. 5 Montaje del bastidor básico 1. Coloque el bastidor frontal en el suelo y fije los montantes de profundidad al bastidor con tornillos pozidriv M6x30 y arandelas M6. Coloque el bastidor posterior en los montantes de profundidad y asegúrelos con tornillos pozidriv M6x30 y arandelas M6. 2. Coloque 6 de las tuercas cautivas M5 en las ranuras de las secciones verticales de cada montante perpendicular de los bastidores frontal y trasero, y monte los travesaños de profundidad ajustables en los bastidores con los tornillos pozidriv M5x8 y arandelas M5. 3. Fije las monturas de los paneles a los travesaños de profundidad ajustables con los tornillos pozidriv M5x10 y tuercas cautivas M5. 4. Inserte los pies ajustables en los cuatro orificios internos del montante de profundidad a través de la abrazadera de montaje del pie, que ya está insertada en los montantes de profundidad inferiores (consulte la figura 2). El ajuste definitivo de la altura del pie se puede hacer cuando la unidad esté de pie en posición vertical. Si se requieren ruedas giratorias, deben colocarse en este paso en los cuatro orificios exteriores de los travesaños de profundidad. Se pueden usar conjuntamente los pies ajustables y las ruedas giratorias cuando sea necesario. 5. La cubierta superior simple (suministrada) se puede colocar de dos formas. Se puede instalar con los 4 tornillos pozidriv M4x12 que permitirán que la tapa quede nivelada con la parte superior del armario. De modo alternativo, se puede instalar con los 4 espaciadores y tornillos pozidriv M4x25 para elevar la tapa sobre la parte superior del armario, lo que proporciona ventilación para efectos de enfriamiento. Anaqueles y soportes del chasis Los soportes de los anaqueles y el chasis se fijan directamente a las monturas de los paneles con los tornillos pozidriv M6x12 y las tuercas con casquillo M6 que se incluyen. Colocación de accesorios opcionales Bandeja para ventilador 1. La bandeja para el ventilador se ubica en la parte inferior de los montantes de profundidad y se fija por medio de los tornillos taptite M4x8 que se incluyen. Cubierta superior con ventilación 1. La cubierta con ventilación reemplaza a la cubierta simple y se ajusta a nivel con la parte superior del armario con los tornillos taptite M4x12 que se incluyen. Puertas de acero, puertas transparentes y paneles posteriores con ventilación Las puertas pueden instalarse en la parte frontal o trasera del armario, y las puertas y paneles posteriores con ventilación se pueden colocar para que abran a izquierda o derecha. 1. Introduzca los dos casquillos de posición de las bisagras en el bastidor frontal o en el trasero y ponga la puerta en posición mediante las bisagras con muelle. 2. Para retirar la puerta, tire para separar la bisagra con muelle del casquillo de posición y levántela para sacarla. Placas prensaestopa 1. Las placas prensaestopa de fondo abierto se fijan a la base del armario con los tornillos taptite M4x8. Kit de montaje de paneles de 19 pulgadas para bastidores 800x800 (consulte la figura 3) 1. Fije las abrazaderas de montaje vertical a los bastidores superior, inferior frontal y posterior con los tornillos pozidriv M5x10 y tuercas cautivas M5. 2. Fije los travesaños de profundidad ajustables a las abrazaderas verticales de montaje con los tornillos pozidriv M5x8, arandelas M5 y tuercas de zinc M5. 3. Fije las monturas de los paneles a los travesaños de profundidad ajustables con los tornillos pozidriv M5x10 y tuercas cautivas M5. 4. Fije los dos montantes ajustables de profundidad que quedan a las monturas de los paneles, en el centro. Esto reforzará las monturas para evitar deformaciones. 5
