June 23-24, 2018 weekend a missionary sister will be seeking support for their mission of rescuing women and children from prostitution and human trafficking in the Philippines. The sisters shelter and rehabilitate these women and children whom they have rescued through their center called Home of Love. Programs and services are given free of charge including shelter, food, counseling, spiritual formation, education, skills training, child care and re-integration programs. Their community has successfully helped rescue thousands of these women and children from the possibility of human trafficking and prostitution. We help them by providing education. The cost to send a child to school is $25 a month or $ 300 for one year. For more information about their community, please visit The sisters extend their prayerful gratitude for all parishioners who support their mission. Our goal for this year is to build a Home of Love, for 100 women and children who are willing to renew their lives. Starting today until December 30, 2018 help us to reach our goal of 20,000 student sponsors. Don t take a vacation from Sunday Mass! All Catholics are obligated to attend Mass on Sunday and Holy Days of Obligation, unless illness or some other grave circumstance prevents it. El fin de semana de Junio 23-24, 2018 una hermana misionera buscará apoyo para su misión de rescatar a mujeres y niños de la prostitución y la trata de personas en Filipinas. Las hermanas albergan y rehabilitan a estas mujeres y niños a quienes han rescatado a través de su centro llamado "hogar del amor". Los programas y servicios son dados gratuitamente incluyendo: refugio, comida, consejería, formación espiritual, educación, entrenamiento de habilidades, cuidado de niños y programas de re-integración. Su comunidad ha ayudado con éxito a rescatar a miles de estas mujeres y niños de la posibilidad de la trata de personas y la prostitución. Les ayudamos proporcionando educación. If you have great wealth, give alms out your abundance; if you have but little, do not be afraid to give alms even of that little. Tobit 4:8 This scripture holds a message that we don t often want to hear, but needs to be said at times. All too often, we allow others to take the lead, or volunteer, or serve in the church, or help with the projects while we sit back and enjoy the benefits. We feel justified because we don t have enough time, or we don t know enough about how to do something, or we don t have enough money to do what is being asked of us. Let us remember we all have something to offer. It is up to us to use what God has given us in large and small measures. As ordinary time resumes, let s make an effort to make these EXTRAORDINARY times by sacrificing and giving in proportion to what we own. As of May 2018, we have $3,039,728 of the $ 6,100,000 needed thanks to the faithful who have given. We need your prayers, pledges and donations to the GIFT Campaign as we continue Phase 2 of our building renovations. Our goal is to reach $4,000,000 by the feast of Holy Cross. Please do what you can!. Pledges can be made online at by following the link on our website to the GIFT campaign.
