4 MAT FLOW GROUP The Mat Flow Group now takes places every Monday beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Heafey Hall (room under the chapel church). Everyone is invited to attend if you don t have a mat we will provide one for you. We pray; we do yoga exercises and we have lots of fun. Open to all men and women of the parish 18 and over. PARISH WEBSITE Check out the parish website for the calendar of events as well as special announcements, current photos and many other interesting items! FEAST OF ST. B L A I S E THIS MONDAY, FEBRUARY 3 RD we remember Saint Blaise and will continue the costume of blessing throats on his feast day. Mass will be celebrated in the chapel at 9 a.m. in English and 7:30 p.m. in Spanish. Immediately following the mass we will offer the individual blessing of throats through the intercession of St. Blaise. DIVINO NINO DEVOTION We invite everyone to attend our new Divino Nino group which will have its meeting and mass on the SECOND Tuesday of every month. The first prayer meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 11 at 6 p.m. in Heafey Hall. Following the meeting we will have mass at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. After mass everyone is invited to Heafey hall for refreshments. Father Rick and Fr Lucas will celebrate the first mass! For more information, contact Sister Tatiana or Sister Lucy SPANISH PRAYER GROUP Every Friday we meet in the chapel from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Over 150 people attend our group. Everyone is welcome to join us as we praise God with wonderful music, dynamic speakers and faith filled prayer. ROSARY SOCIETY Members are invited to attend the monthly meeting on Thursday, FEB 6, 2014 AT 2PM IN HEAFEY HALL. Gift donations for the raffle will be greatly appreciated. DEBT REDUCTION COLLECTION In July 2012 we needed to take a $611,000 from the diocese to pay our overdue bills immediately. Today, that loan is down to $255,000. This is due to your generous contributions in the Christmas collection as well as our monthly debt reduction collection. Next Sunday, the second collection goes to reduce our loan debt. Please continue to be generous. TAX TIME Our parish is blessed by the generosity of so many parishioners who give money each week for the upkeep of our buildings and the support of our mission here in Elmhurst. If you would like to receive a letter detailing your contributions for the 2013 year please contact Raul Ortiz The letter will be prepared and mailed promptly to your home. LINE DANCING The Line Dancing group meets every Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the school gym (Judge St) All are welcome. Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said to him, "You are lacking in one thing. Go, sell what you have, and give to [the] poor and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me." (Mark 10:21) According to St. Thomas Aquinas "To give one's will to God is to give all." (Prayer: the Key to Heaven) Am I willing to give my all to God for the sake of the Gospel as priest, deacon or as a religious brother or sister? 5 GRUPO MAT FLOW El Grupo Mat Flow ahora tiene lugar cada lunes comenzando a las 7:30 p.m. en Heafey Hall (sótano de la Capilla). Todos están invitados a participar si no tienes un tapetito le podemos proveer uno. Nosotros oramos, hacemos ejercicios de Yoga y gozamos muchos. Hombres y mujeres de la parroquia mayores de 18 años de edad pueden participar. GRUPO DE ORACION Cada viernes nos reunimos en la Capilla (Calle Ithaca) desde las 7:30 p.m. hasta las 9:30 p.m. Más de 150 personas participan en este grupo. Todos están invitados a participar con nosotros mientras alabamos a Dios con música maravillosa, predicadores dinámicos y oraciones con mucha fe BAILE EN LINEA El grupo de Baile en Línea se reúne cada domingo de 6 p.m. hasta la 9 p.m. en el gimnasio de la escuela (Judge St.) todos están invitados! DEVOCION AL DIVINO NIÑO Los invitamos a todos a participar en el Grupo del Divino Niño nuevo el cual tendrá lugar el martes, febrero 11 a las 6:00 P.M. en Heafey Hall. Siguiendo la reunión tendremos misa a las 7:30 P.M. en la Capilla. Después de la misa todos están invitados al Heafey Hall para refrescos. Padre Rick y Padre Lucas celebraran la primera misa! Para más información, comuníquese con Hermana Tatiana o Hermana Lucy al FIESTA DE SAN BLAS ESTE LUNES, 3 DE FEBRERO recordamos a San Blas y seguimos con la costumbre de la bendición a las gargantas en su Día de Fiesta. La misa será celebrada en la Capilla a las 9:00 A.M. en ingles y a las 7:30 P.M. en español. Inmediatamente después de la misa les ofrecemos la bendición a las gargantas individualmente a través de la intercesión de San Blas. COLECION PARA LA REBAJA DE DEUDAS En Julio de 2012 nosotros tuvimos que adquirir un préstamo de la Diócesis para pagar cuentas debidas inmediatamente. Hoy, este préstamo sea bajado a $255,000. Esto es en parte a sus contribuciones generosas en la Colecta de la Navidad además de nuestra colecta mensual para rebajar las deudas. El próximo domingo, la segunda colecta ira a rebajar la deuda de nuestro préstamo. Favor de continuar de ser generoso. TIEMPO PARA LOS IMPUESTOS Nuestra parroquia esta bendecida con la generosidad de los muchos parroquianos quienes contribuyen dinero cada semana para el mantenimiento de los edificios y el apoyo de nuestra misión aquí en Elmhurst.
