Mass Intentions The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is the greatest and most perfect prayer we can offer because it is the prayer of Jesus Christ to the Father. The Mass is th e most beautiful gift we can give to others. Masses may be offered not only for the deceased, but also for the sick, in thanksgiving for favors received, birthdays, anniversaries, and for any special intention you may have. The donation for each Mass is $15.00. Come to the parish office on 21 st Street to reserve your Masses. Summer Mass Schedule From Sunday, June 17th to Sunday, September 30th, there will be no 11:45am at our parish church, Saint Rocco. The 11:45am Mass will start again on Sunday, September 30th. During the Summer, the Mass schedule will be Saturday evening, at 5:30pm, and Sunday at 8:45am and 10:00am in Spanish at our parish church, Saint John the Evangelist. Sharing the Gospel When you were baptized, the priest used the same words as Jesus in today's Gospel. He said, "I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit." The water of baptism is God's bath of forgiveness. Baptism washes all your sins away. Baptism makes you a forgiven child of God so that you can enter heaven's gate. As the disciples ate with friends, traveled, worked, shopped, and made new friends, they were to have one goal in mind-help more people follow Jesus. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to love God and love each other. Teach them to have mercy and forgive each other. Teach them to be humble. Teach them to pray. Teach them to share. And teach them to tell the people they met how to follow Jesus, too. Prayer Jesus, when I hurt others, teach me to say, "I am sorry. Will you forgive me?" Amen. Something to Draw Draw a picture of yourself telling a friend about Jesus. Mission for the Week When others hurt you, say, "I forgive you."
