2 Meals Meals for those staying at the AIS are available at the following times: Breakfast - 7:30am - 8:30am Lunch 12:00-1:00pm Dinner - 7:00pm - 8:00pm Transfers Transfers to and from the playing courts are to be arranged through Nam from Volleyball Australia. All teams should have his contact details but if not, they are available through any of the Competition staff. Match Schedule and Results All Match Schedules can be found both online and at the information section at the Competition Office. All Results will be posted online at the Oceania Volleyball Website beach-champs. Live Streaming of games Games will be live streamed through the Volleyball Australia YouTube Channel Solomon Islands Soloman Islands experienced difficulties in obtaining Visas and therefore did not arrive before their scheduled games today. As a result of this, they have forfeited these games. The Women s team is scheduled to arrive tonight and will be present for games tomorrow. The Men s team will not be present for their game tomorrow morning at 8:00 am and therefore this game will be a forfeit.

3 Media Release Thursday 1 March 2018 Australia and New Zealand Dominate Day 1 of Youth Olympic Qualification Under perfect Beach Volleyball conditions, teams from all over Oceania descended on the Australian Capital for day one of the Oceania Qualifier of the Youth Olympic Games. The women s event was the talk of the town, with the number one ranked team of Australia up against the number two seed in New Zealand on centre court just after lunch. New Zealand came out strong, with Australia playing catch up through the first set, New Zealand eventually winning The second set saw Australia showing why they were the tournament s number one seeded team, staying in control and taking the set The third set was at hotly contested affair, revealing the class of both teams and eventually seeing the Kiwi s closing out the set and match with a mighty win. The men s side of the event had some great rallies and big games. The results show the two top seeded teams in Australia and New Zealand undefeated and yet to face each other both progressing through to the Semi- Finals. Teams competing include Australia, New Zealand, Vanuatu, American Samoa, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. Games continue tomorrow afternoon from 3:30 pm at the Lyneham Beach Volleyball Complex.
