1 MEMORANDUM DE ENTENDIMIENTO ENTRE EL GOBIERNO DE LA REPUBLICA ARGENTINA Y EL GOBIERNO DE LA REPUBLICA DE COREA PARA EL ESTABLECIMIENTO DE UNA COMISION MIXTA El Gobierno de la República Argentina y el Gobierno de la República de Corea (en adelante denominados "las Partes Contratantes"), Deseando promover las relaciones bilaterales y ampliar la cooperación mutua entre ambos países en los campos económico, comercial, agrícola, ganadero, pesquero, industrial, técnico, tecnológico y científico, Acuerdan lo siguiente: ARTICULO 1 Las Partes Contratantes se esforzarán para fortalecer y desarrollar la cooperación económica, comercial, agrícola, ganadera, pesquera, técnica, tecnológica y científica sobre la base del beneficio mutuo, y a fin de facilitar el logro de este objetivo darán el apoyo necesario a los contactos entre las organizaciones y empresas respectivas. Estos esfuerzos se realizarán en el marco de las leyes y reglamentos vigentes en cada país. ARTICULO 2 Con el fin de formular y facilitar el desarrollo de la cooperación en los rubros antes mencionados, las Partes Contratantes acuerdan establecer una Comisión Mixta.

2 La necesario, las Partes de miembros ARTICULO 3 Comisión Mixta se reunirá cuando se estime en Buenos Aires y Seúl, a solicitud de cualquiera de Contratantes. Según corrresponda, la participación del sector privado, no está neceariamente excluida. ARTICULO 4 La Comisión Mixta podrá formar subcomisiones con el objeto de es ^di ar planes y proyectos de cooperación mutua de manera más profundizada. El número de subcomisiones podrá ser aumentado o reducido por la Comisión Mixta de conformidad a las necesidades que estipulen ambas Partes Contratantes. ARTICULO 5 Las subcomisiones podrán reunirse en Buenos Aires o Seúl en el momento y al nivel que consideren necesario. ARTICULO 6 La Comisión Mixta en sus reuniones podrá tratar las siguientes cuestiones, dejando constancia del resultado de las conversaciones: a) Revisión del desarrollo de la cooperación mutua; b) Estudio de los informes de las subcomisiones; c) Intercambio de informaciones; d) Estudio de planes y propuestas relativos a las posibilidades de incremento de la cooperación en campos de mutuo interés.

3 ARTICULO El presente Memorándum de Entendimiento entrará en vigor en la fecha de su firma El presente Memorándum de Entendimiento tendrá validez por un período de SEIS (6) años, renovándose automáticamente por otros períodos de seis años, a menos que cualquiera de las Partes Contratantes comunicara a la otra, con tres meses de anticipación, su intención de darlo por terminado El presente Memorándum de Entendimiento podrá ser modificado por mutuo acuerdo de las Partes Contratantes.

4 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENT OF THE ARGENTINE REPUBLIC AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A JOINT COMMISSION The Government of the Argentine Republic and the Government of the- Republic of Korea (hereinafter referred to as "the Contracting Parties"), ' i Desirous to promote bilateral relations and expand the mutual cooperation between the two countries in the economic, commercial, agricultural, livestock (including cattle), fisheries, industrial, technical, technological and scientific f ields, Have agreed on the following: ARTICLE 1 The Contracting Parties shall make efforts to strenghten and develop their economic, commercial, agricultural, livestock (including cattle), fisheries, industrial, technical, technological and scientific cooperation on the basis of mutual benefits, and to facilítate the attainment of this purpose they will extend the necessary support to thé contacta between the respective organizations and enterprises of the two countries. All these efforts will be made within existing laws and regulations of each country.

5 ARTICLE 2 In order to formúlate and facilítate the expansión of the cooperation in the above-mentioned fields, the Contracting Parties agree to establish a Joint Commission. ARTICLE 3 The Jointj Commission will meet, as appropriate, in Buenos Aires and Seoul, at the request of one of the Contracting Parties. The participation of members of the private sector, as appropriate, is not necessarily excluded. ARTICLE 4 In order to study plans and projects of mutual cooperation, in a more delibérate way, the Joint Commission may form sub-commissions. The Joint Commission may increase or reduce the number of the sub-commissions as deemed necessary by both Contracting Parties. ARTICLE 5 The sub-commissions may meet in Buenos Aires or Seoul whenever necessary at any level. ARTICLE 6 The Joint Commission, in its meetings, may discuss the following topics and transcribe their conclusions in a document:

6 1. review of the developments of the mutual cooperation; 2. study of the reporta of sub-commissions; 3. exchange of information; 4. study of plans and proposals regarding the possibilities of enhancement of cooperation in fields of mutual interest. ARTICLE 7 1. This Memorándum of Understanding shall enter into forcé on the date of its signature. 2. The Memorándum of Understanding shall be valid for a period of six years, and shall remain valid for consecutive periods of six years, unless either Contracting Party notifies the other, three months in advance, of its decisión of terminating the Memorándum of Understanding. 3. This Memorándum of Understanding may be modified by mutual consent. Done in duplicate at Buenos Aires on October 28, 1991, in the Spanish, Korean and English languages, all texts being equally authentic. In case of divergence, the English text shall prevail.
