2 3 General information The retrofit kit is only for use within the BMW dealer organisation. The preparations and the installation of the upgrade kit are shown on a car from the E46/C model series with standard equipment. Special equipment and retrofits may mean differences from the individual illustrations in the installation instructions. Wichtige Hinweise Installation time The installation time is approx. 2,5 hours. The installation time may differ depending on the condition of the car and the equipment in it. Target group The target group for these installation instructions is staff who have been trained on BMW cars with specialist knowledge of body electrics. Work All servicing, repair, installation and adjustment work on cars is completed at your own risk. All work is to be completed using the latest BMW - Repair instructions (see Technical Information System), - Circuit diagrams (see Diagnostics Information System), in a rational sequence using the prescribed tools (special tools) and pursuant to the relevant health and safety regulations. Safety instructions Follow the latest accident prevention regulations. Follow the safety instructions for dealing with the airbag system. Further information is available in the TIS under RA-No If you fail to follow the safety regulations, the airbag system may deploy incorrectly and cause injury. Ordering instructions Centre console insert The insert for the centre console is supplied with the retrofit kit in the standard black colour. A coloured insert for the centre console can be ordered if required for cars with different coloured trim. All the other order information for this is in the EPC. Pictogram and special equipment listi! Indicates information that must be read before the installation work to prevent damaging the car and for safety reasons. 12 19 Nach dem Einbau des Mobiltelefons sind folgende Arbeiten durchzuführen: 1. Kurztest mit DIS oder MoDiC durchführen. 2. Funktionsprüfung des Nachrüstsystems durchführen. Das Nachrüstsystem ist nicht codierrelevant. Abschließende Arbeiten After you have installed the mobile phone, complete the following work: 1. Conduct a brief test with DIS or MoDic. 2. Na het inbouwen van de mobiele telefoon moeten volgende werkzaamheden worden uitgevoerd: 1. Korte test met DIS of MoDiC uitvoeren. 2. Functietest van het naderhand ingebouwde systeem uitvoeren. Werkzaamheden ter beëindiging Het naderhand ingebouwde systeem is niet codeerrelevant. Efter monteringen av mobiltelefonen skall följande arbetsmoment utföras: 1. Genomför en snabbtest med DIS eller MoDiC. 2. Genomför en funktionskontroll av eftermonteringssystemet. Avslutande arbeten Eftermonteringssystemet ska inte kodas. Dopo il montaggio del telefono mobile eseguire i seguenti lavori: 1. Il test breve va eseguito con il DIS o il MoDiC. 2. Controllare il funzionamento del sistema montato a posteriori.
