1 City of Santa Paula Recycling and Waste Management Website Mandatory Commercial Recycling for all Business s Effective July 1, 2012 California Assembly Bill 341 went into effect mandating commercial recycling for all businesses that generate more than 4 cubic yards of waste per week and Multi Family dwellings with 5 or more units, regardless of the amount of waste generated Please contact Recology Ventura at / or visit CalRecycle at for more on this Bill As of June 2011, the Santa Paula City Council approved the privatization of Municipal Refuse and Recycling services for the City of Santa Paula to Recology Ventura. Per the City of Santa Paula California Municipal Code Public Works Title V Chapter COLLECTION REQUIRED: responsible persons must arrange with the city or a franchisee for collection service as set forth in this chapter (ord. 1091, passed ) CONTAINERS; USE: A. Responsible persons must keep in a suitable place one or more containers capable of holding, without spilling, leaking, or emitting odors, all solid waste that accumulates on the premises between the times of two successive collections. B. Responsible persons must deposit in containers or commercial bins provided by the city or franchisee all solid waste generated or accumulated on premises C. it is unlawful for any person to place ashes which are not cold and free from fire in any container (ord. 1091, passed ) Please contact the City s Franchised Hauler: Recology Ventura at for service.
