Tanto 'shall' como 'will' pueden contraerse en sus formas afirmativa y negativa (You will You'll). AFIRMATIVA I (shall / will) play You will play He will play We (shall / will) play You will play They will play Yo jugaré Tú jugarás Él jugará Nosotros jugaremos Vosotros jugareis Ellos jugarán NEGATIVA I (shall / will) not play You will not play He will not play We (shall / will) not play You will not play They will not play En la forma interrogativa se invirte el orden de sujeto y auxiliar: Will you play? / Jugarás? La forma estructura de la forma interrogativa-negativa es: auxiliar + sujeto + not Will you not play? / No jugarás? Su estructura es la siguiente: sujeto+ futuro de 'to be' + gerundio del verbo a conjugar You will be flying to Paris tomorrow at this hour / Mañana a esta hora estarás volando hacia Paris
FORMA NEGATIVA I shall / will not be playing no estaré jugando FORMA INTERROGATIVA shall / will I be playing? estaré jugando? FORMA INT. NEGATIVA shall / will I not be playing? no estaré jugando? They will have written the novel by next month / Ellos habrán escrito la novela el próximo mes. Su estructura es la siguiente: sujeto + futuro de 'to have' + participio FORMA AFIRMATIVA FORMA NEGATIVA FORMA INTERROGATIVA I shall have played Yo habré jugado I shall not have played Yo no habré jugado Shall I have played? Habré jugado? INTERROGATIVO-NEGATIVA: Shall I not have played? / No habré jugado? EL FUTURO PERFECTO PROGRESIVO Sirve para expresar acciones que se desarrollan hasta un momento determinado del futuro en el que pueden finalizar o no. Next year I shall have been studying ten years / El año próximo llevaré diez años estudiando. Su estructura es la siguiente:
Pàgina 3 de 15 sujeto + futuro de 'to have' + participio de 'to be' + gerundio FORMA AFIRMATIVA I shall have been playing Yo habré estado jugando FORMA INTERROGATIVA Shall I have been playing? Habré estado jugando? FORMA NEGATIVA I shall not have been playing Yo no habré estado jugado INTERROG-NEGATIVA Shall I not have been playing? No habré estado jugando? Our holidays begin in August / Nuestras vacaciones comienzan en agosto Your flight leaves at 17:15 on Monday / Su vuelo sale a las 17:15 el lunes El Presente progresivo o Presente continuo como futuro. Are you going to take the car tonight? / Vas a coger el coche esta noche? - Con 'to be' + infinitivo, para indicar lo que está programado para el futuro The president is to meet the congressmen tomorrow / El presidente se reunirá con los congresistas mañana - Con 'to have to' (tener que) I have to go to the dentist / Tengo que ir al dentista
Pàgina 4 de 15 Frases condicionales - Conditional Sentences TIPOS DE CONDICIONALES Tipo if frase principal 1 Simple Present will (future) 2 Simple Past 3 Past Perfect would + Infinitivo (Conditional) would + have + past participle (Conditional Perfect) 1. IF + simple present,... + future (will) If I learn, I'll pass the exam. If we don't hurry up, we will be late. (Si no nos damos prisa, llegaremos tarde.) What will you do if you don't go to London? ( Qué harás si no vas a Londres?) 2. Segundo condicional / Second Conditional Lo usamos en casos hipotéticos, situaciones imaginarias o poco probables. IF + past simple,..+ conditional simple (would/could) If I learnt, I would pass the exam. If I won the lottery, I would be rich. (Si yo ganara la lotería, sería rico)
Pàgina 5 de 15 If the football tickets were available, I would pay any price for them. IF + past perfect... + conditional perfect (would have). If I had learnt, I would have passed the exam. If he had worked hard in all his subjects, he would not have failed this semester. If we had been more careful, we wouldn't have had the accident. Otros casos Existen otras formas de construir frases condicionales: IF + simple present,... present simple If you ring this number, nobody answers. IF + simple present,... imperativo. If you drink, don't drive. Tiempos Verbales - Pasado simple y Pasado Continuo
Pàgina 6 de 15 Verb Tenses - Past Simple and Past Continuos Past simple (Pasado simple) Gramatical Structure / Estructura Gramatical (example with verb to eat) Afirmative clause / Frase afirmativa Sujeto + verbo en pasado --> I ate (Yo comí) Negative clause / Frase negativa Sujeto + did + not + verbo--> I did not eat (Yo no comí) Interrogative clause/ Frase interrogativa Did + sujeto + verbo? --> Did I eat? Lo usamos con expresiones como: last year, yesterday, last night... Ejemplo: - Tomy stayed at home last night. (Tom se quedó en casa anoche.) También podemos expresar una duración hablando del pasado: all day, for years, for thirty minutes... Ejemplo: - Tomy talked to me for two hours. Ejemplo: - When I was a child I used to watch scary films. Ejemplo: Jackie left school a long time ago (Hace tiempo que Jackie dejó la escuela). Past continuous (Pasado continuo) Gramatical Structure / Estructura Gramatical (example with verb to eat) Afirmative clause / Frase afirmativa Sujeto + was/were + verbo en gerundio --> I was eating (Yo estaba comiendo) Negative clause / Frase negativa Sujeto + was/were + not + verbo en gerundio --> I was not eating (Yo no estaba comiendo)
Pàgina 7 de 15 Interrogative clause/ Frase interrogativa Was/were + sujeto + verbo en gerundio? --> Was I eating? ( Estaba yo comiendo?) - I was driving along East street when I saw a fire Conducía por la Calle del Este cuando ví fuego. - I was running when I met Tina. Iba corriendo cuando me encontré con Tina.
