Training Center Veracruz, Mexico The training center in Veracruz is located uptown, in between two important avenues and surrounded by several hotels and commercial malls. Courses held at the Veracruz location currently include DP basic operator course, DP advanced simulator operator course and K-Pos maintenance course. In addition, courses can be arranged at the location through coordination with other training centers within Kongsberg s global training organization. 2 TRAVEL Veracruz is a moderate-sized city with around 1 million inhabitants (within Mexico s standards). It actually consists of two different municipalities; Veracruz is the oldest part of the city where downtown, the port and historical center are located as well as several older neighborhoods and hotels, and Boca del Río, which is located uptown and has grown drastically within the past 15 years. A wide array of hotels can be found in the area, as well as shopping malls, restaurants and nightlife centers. The city s airport, Aeropuerto Internacional General Heriberto Jara, is located approximately 20 minutes away from our office. Several domestic flights from all over the country arrive every day at all hours. Taxi service may be hired straight at the airport as well as car rentals.
