1 My trip to Nashville Children s Theatre /Mi viaje al teatro para niños de Nashville I am going to see a play at Nashville Children s Theatre. When I get there, I will see a sign that says Nashville Children s Theatre. /Voy a ver una obra en el teatro de niños de Nashville. Cuando llegue allá, veré un letrero que dirá Nashville Children s Theatre.

2 When I go into the building, I will be in the Lobby. I will try to stay with my family or group. There might be a lot of people. They will be there to see the play, too. /Cuando llegue al edificio iré al Lobby. Trataré de permanecer junto a mi familia o grupo. Quizás hayan muchas personas. Ellos también estarán ahí para ver la obra Before the play, there will be different activities I can do in the lobby. If I see something I want to play, I can ask my mom or dad. /Antes de la obra habrán diferentes actividades que yo puedo hacer en el lobby. Si veo algo con lo que quiero jugar, le puedo preguntar a mi mamá o mi papá When it s time to go into the theatre, there may be a line at the door. I will try to wait nicely in line for my turn to go through the door. /Cuando sea la hora de entrar al teatro quizas haya una línea en la puerta. Trataré de esperar tranquilamente en la línea por mi turno de entrar por la puerta.

3 When I get to the door into the theatre, an usher will scan my ticket. An usher is someone who can help you find your way. After the ticket is scanned, they will give it back to me, my mom, or dad. In the theatre, my family and I can sit in any seat that is empty. /Cuando llegue a la puerta de entrada al teatro un asistente escaneará mi boleto. Un asistente es alguien que puede ayudarle a encontrar el camino. Después que el boleto sea escaneado ellos me lo regresarán a mi o a mi mamá o papá. En el teatro mi familia y yo podremos sentarnos en cualquier asiento que está vacío. After I sit in my seat, people might need to walk in front of me to get to their seats. I will try to be helpful by moving my feet out of the way. It is a small space so they may accidently touch me when they walk by. /Después que me siente en mi asiento, las personas quizás necesiten caminar en frente de mi para llegar a sus asientos. Trataré de ayudar quitando mi pie del medio. Es un lugar pequeño por lo que quizás me toquen accidentalmente al pasar.

4 If I cannot see, I can ask my mom or dad for a booster seat. A booster seat will help me to see the play better when I sit on top of it. There may be some people I don t know sitting close to me. They are here to see the play, too! /Si no puedo ver, le puedo preguntar a mi mamá o a mi papá por un asiento para niños. Un asiento para niños me ayudará, cuando me siente sobre él, a ver mejor la obra. Quizás haya personas que yo no conozca sentadas cerca de mi. Ellos también están aquí para ver la obra. During the play, the actors will be wearing costumes and pretending. I will try to be respectful by staying in my seat, sitting quietly, and watching the play. /Durante la obra los actores estarán actuando y usando disfraces. Trataré de ser respetuoso permaneciendo sentado en mi asiento, sentado tranquilamente y mirando la obra. If I see something I like or think is funny, I can clap my hands or laugh. Other people sitting by me might clap and laugh at things too! If it is too loud for me I can cover my ears. /Si veo algo que me gusta o es divertido puedo aplaudir o reir. Otras personas sentadas cerca de mi quizás aplaudan y rían también. Si es muy alto para mi, puedo cubrir mis oídos.

5 Sometimes there might be something that surprises me. An usher standing near the stage will hold up an orange light before something surprising is about to happen. /A veces pudieran haber cosas que me sorprenda. Un asistente cerca de la escena sostendrá una luz anaranjada antes de que algo sorprendente suceda. If I m feeling scared, I can cover my ears or eyes, hold my mom or dad s hand, or hug my mom or dad until the surprising part is over. /Si siento temor, puedo cubrir mis oídos u ojos, agarrar las manos de mi papá o mi mamá o abrazar a mi mamá o mi papá hasta que la parte sorprendente termine. 6 There are also water fountains I can drink from if I get thirsty during the play. /También hay fuentes de agua de donde yo puedo beber si tengo sed durante la obra. If the play is too loud for me, I can tell my mom or dad and we can sit in the comfort room in the back of the theatre. I will still be able to see the show but it won t be as loud. /Si el sonido de la obra es muy alto para mi, puedo decirle a mi mamá o a mi papá y nos podemos sentar en la habitación de confort que está en la parte de atrás del teatro. Todavía podré ver la obra pero no será muy alto.

7 If I just need a break, I can tell my mom or dad and they can take me to the lobby. I can come back in when I am ready. /Si solamente necesito un descanso, le puedo decir a mi mamá o a mi papá y ellos me pueden llevar al lobby. Puedo regresar cuando esté listo. I will know the play is over when the actors bow. If I liked the play, I can clap my hands. People around me might clap their hands too. The clapping might be loud, but it won t last long. If it is too loud, I can cover my ears until it is over. /Sabré que la obra se terminó cuando los actores se inclinen para saludar. Si me gusta la obra, podré aplaudir. 8 When the show is over and it is time to leave, everyone will stand up and walk to the exits in the back. It might be crowded. I will try to wait my turn and stay with my family or group to exit the theatre. /Cuando la obra termine y sea hora de irse, todas las personas se levantarán de sus asientos y caminarán hacia las salidas que están en la parte de atrás. Quizás hayan muchas personas. Trataré de esperar mi turno y permaneceré junto a mi familia o grupo hasta que salga del teatro. When I am respectful by staying in my seat, sitting quietly, and watching the play, my mom and dad will be so proud of me! I might like coming to a play at the Nashville Children s Theatre. /Cuando soy respetuoso permaneciendo en mi asiento, sentado tranquilo y mirando la obra, mi mamá y mi papá estarán muy orgullosos de mi.
