Adoption of draft agenda OJ v03-00 The draft agenda was adopted in the form shown in these minutes. Item 8 was cancelled owing to the absence of the representative of the pro-tempore Paraguayan presidency of Mercosur. Speakers: María Muñiz de Urquiza (EP, S&D), Angel Ramón Barchini (Mercosur Parliament). 2. Election of members of the Committee's Bureau Angel Ramón Barchini (Mercosur Parliament) said that the vacant post of second vicechair for the Latin American component would be filled at the next meeting, due to be held in November Approval of minutes of the meeting of: 4 and 5 November 2010 (Cuenca) PV-AP v01-00 The minutes were approved. 2 4. Co-chair s announcements The Co-chair outlined the purpose and structure of the meeting. The deadline for tabling amendments for the plenary session was set at 18 May 2011, at Amendments to texts for discussion during the plenary session were to be tabled by at least 20 members of the Assembly. Amendments must refer to the text which they intended to modify and must be tabled in written form. The Chair would determine their admissibility on the basis of these criteria. The vote in plenary would take place on 19 May at Address by Enrique Pintado, Uruguayan Minister of Transport and Public Works: exchange of views Speakers: Enrique Pintado, Uruguayan Minister of Transport and Public Works, David Sánchez (Parlandino), Luis Falla Lamadrid (Parlatino), Rodolfo Dougherty (Parlacen), Alberto Couriel (Mercosur Parliament). Jean-Pierre Audy (EP, PPE) resumed the chair. 6. Consideration of amendments and vote on a draft joint resolution: Prospects for trade relations between the European Union and Latin America EP co-rapporteur: María Muñiz De Urquiza (EP, S&D) LAC co-rapporteur: Oscar Arboleda Palacios (Parlandino, Colombia) María Muñiz de Urquiza (EP, S&D) presented her view of the draft resolution and the compromise amendments which had been tabled. Speakers: Fausto Lupera (Parlamento Andino), on behalf of Oscar Arboleda Palacio (Parlandino), on the Trade Agreement between the EU and Colombia and Peru, Astrid Lulling (EP, PPE) and María Muñiz De Urquiza (EP, S&D). Decision: The joint motion for resolution was approved by a broad majority from both components with the changes corresponding to the amendments approved. Topic for debate: Globalisation and Financial Crisis EP co-rapporteur: José Manuel Garcia-Margallo y Marfil (EP, PPE) LAC co-rapporteur: Fausto Lupera Martínez (Parlandino, Ecuador) Astrid Lulling (EP, PPE) presented the working document of José Manuel García- Margallo y Marfil (PE, PPE), and Fausto Lupera Martínez (Parlandino, Ecuador) presented his working document.
