14 Key factors Creation of a dynamic and useful regional & interregional network between all the partners, in order to collaborate together in European Projects. To setup a methodology based on the identification of the common issues between the regional actors, and making good proposals on a win-win bases. To promote Public Private Partnership. The participation in European projects is the way of increasing the collaboration and exchanging of best practices among the regions.

16 Joint Strategy on regional competitiveness and sustainability, Perspective The RFO internal Methodology Examples Europe INNOVA, Valencia, November, from 26th to 28th, 2006 Europe INNOVA Conference 2006 s exhibition on innovation best practices, (Valencia- Spain). Europe INNOVA is the major event in the European calendar of innovation. Organized by the European Commission under the 6th Framework Programmed and the Valencia Regional Government. More than 700 experts from 23 Member states (policy makers, innovation intermediaries and enterprises with an insight into sector innovation analysis and networking in Europe). The RFO Perspective showed its interregional cooperation strategy in terms of innovation.

Development of new economic agents in the Regions.

Creation of two platforms to develop new proposals for European projects: IPP - Interregional Partnership Platform ICOPS International Cooperation Platform for Sustainability Generation of new project proposals, with a budged of more than 30 million Euros, to several European programs: INTERREG IV, FP 7, LIFE+, IEE- Intelligent Energy in Europe,

26 CONCLUSIONS EU initiatives andthe Interregional cooperation must be seen as a tool for innovation and business developmentin cooperation with public and private entities from different countries.. The cooperation on EUprograms & projects always has a payback. The important isnot the amount of money you get, but what you do with this opportunity and how you use it. Successful EU initiatives & interregional Projects requirea good proposalthat givesolutions to a real problems, based on specific results, with compromised partners, and project management skills.
