3 Dear Friends: I am happy to announce that Bishop DiMarzio has assigned Fr Carlos Agudelo to be the new Administrator of Saint Pauls Parish I Corona beginning October 1, As you know, I have been the Administrator there since February. I am very, very happy to give up this job and dedicate myself totally once again to Saint Bartholomew Parish! Fr Carlos is currently the Parochial Vicar of St Leo s, Corona. I have no doubt he will offer a wonderful ministry to the people of St Paul s Corona. We have been approved by the Department of Buildings of the City of New York to begin the exterior work on the church. We are excited that this work will begin. Please pray for the success of the work and the safety of all of the workers during this important time. Last week I blessed our Catechists and Assistants who dedicate themselves to our Faith Formation program. We have over 85 volunteers this year serving more than 700 children on Tuesday evening and Sunday. This is a wonderful grace for our parish. Finally..I am looking forward to meet all your pets again.this Saturday, October 1 st at 3 p.m. in front of the Church. Bring all your animals as we pray and thank God for their presence in our lives. Fr Rick Queridos amigos: Estoy feliz de anunciar que el obispo DiMarzio ha asignado el P. Carlos Agudelo para ser el nuevo Administrador de la Parroquia San Pablo de Corona comenzando el 1 de octubre de Como saben, he sido el Administrador allí desde febrero. Estoy muy, muy feliz de renunciar a este trabajo y dedicarme por completo una vez más a la Parroquia de San Bartolomé! El P. Carlos actualmente es el Vicario Parroquial de San Leo, de Corona. No tengo ninguna duda de que va a ofrecer un ministerio maravilloso para la gente de San Pablo de Corona. Hemos sido aprobados por el Departamento de Edificios de la Ciudad de Nueva York para comenzar el trabajo en el exterior de la iglesia. Estamos encantados porque este trabajo va a comenzar. Por favor, oren por el éxito de la obra y la seguridad de todos los trabajadores durante esta ocasión importante. La semana pasada bendije a nuestros catequistas y asistentes que se dedican a nuestro programa de Formación de Fe. Tenemos más de 85 voluntarios este año atendiendo a más de 700 niños los martes y domingos por la noche. Ésta es una gracia maravillosa para nuestra parroquia. Por último... Rick ADDITIONAL SUNDAY MASS: We are happy to announce that on the First Sunday of Advent November 27 will be adding a new mass in Spanish on Sundays at 6 p.m. in the main church. We are offering this mass especially for Catholics in our area who are working Sunday mornings and do not have the opportunity to attend mass. We hope that many will take advantage of this opportunity. Let s use the next 8 weeks to spread the word! MISA ADICIONAL DE DOMINGO: Estamos encantados de anunciar que el Primer Domingo de Adviento, el 27 de noviembre, vamos a añadir una nueva Misa en español los domingos a las 6 pm en la iglesia principal. 5 We are planning another group wedding for couples living together or married civilly for a long period of time. We will have an important information meeting that couples must attend THIS Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel. We will answer all of your questions and assist you to prepare for the sacrament of marriage. The wedding ceremony is free! This is a great opportunity to say YES to the Lord and each other! Come to the meeting this Monday take the next step! The meeting will be conducted in English and Spanish. If for some reason you cannot attend.please call the parish office.
