18 Hearing Date: December 6, 217 Notice of Public Hearing: Charter School Renewal & Revision Hyde Leadership Charter School - Brooklyn (Community School District 19) Hearing Time: Speaker Sign in: 5:3 PM Hearing Location: Hearing Details & Purpose: Overview, Questions, and Comments: Hyde Leadership Charter School - Brooklyn Auditorium 33 Alabama Avenue Brooklyn, NY : PM The Chancellor of the New York City Department of Education, in her capacity as a charter authorizer, has received an application to renew a charter school and revise student enrollment for a term of five years, commencing July 1, 218. Hyde Leadership Charter School - Brooklyn is a charter school located at 33 Alabama Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 1127 in Community School District 19. The charter school is currently authorized to serve 396 students in grades K-5. With the renewal, Hyde Leadership Charter School - Brooklyn is also seeking to expand its grades and total number of students served. If the charter is renewed and the expansion is approved, Hyde Leadership Charter School - Brooklyn would be authorized to serve 621 students in grades K-8. A public hearing was held for Hyde Leadership Charter School - Brooklyn s renewal application on October 26, 217. The hearing scheduled for December 6, 217 is a supplemental hearing for both the renewal and revision applications. Pursuant to Education Law 2857(1), the New York City Department of Education is required to hold a public hearing to solicit comment from the community in connection with the charter school renewal and revision process. The application does not include any changes to the utilization of school district space. Any changes to the utilization of school district space would be addressed in separate processes and public hearings. Renewal & Revision Process Information: Additional Opportunities to Provide Comment: Any questions about the renewal and revision application process for the NYC DOE may be directed to the Office of School Design and Charter Partnerships at (212) The public is welcomed and encouraged to submit comments on the application.
