Since the start of my academic career as Forest Engineer, until my current postdoctoral position at a Department of Geosciences, I have built my own approach to the understanding of biotic systems, which is essentially based on the concept of change along the space-time dimensions. My aspiration is to further deepen and provide feedback on the study of tropical biotic systems from this perspective. Areas of interest Climate change, paleoclimate, palynology, ecology and conservation of tropical forests, vegetation and climate history of South America, land-ocean interactions.
