5 PREPARATORY SEMINAR OF THE 2nd EU- LAC ACADEMIC SUMMIT, BUCHAREST, ROMANIA May 26/27th 2014 First EU-LAC Academic Summit was held on January 22/23, 2013 in Chile. 600 participants from both regions attended the event, with representatives or authorities of the Member States and the academic environment:universities, research centers, scientific networks and so on. Organized by initiative of several academic institutions from Chile, Latin America and European Union, with the support of Goverment of Chile. The Preparatory Seminar for the 2nd EU-LAC Academic Summit was held in ISLA Institute of Latin American Studies in Bucharest, May 26-27, It bought about more than 150 key participants from the European and Latin- American academic area, including Mr. Titus Corlăţean, Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Remus Pricopie, Romanian Minister of Education; Mr. Ioan Mircea Pascu Vice-Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament, experts, professors and representatives of the diplomatic corps in the two regions. The 2nd Preparatory Seminar will be on October 23/24, 2014 at the

7 The project attempts to combine the efforts of three institutions with transnational and trans disciplinary character, such as FLACSO (Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales), Millennium Project (Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Brazil Nodes) and UNESCO Regional Latin America, converging into a (CREAR) Diploma course in Strategic Foresight and Anticipatory Studies Futures Laboratory Project Training program for secondary teachers in futures studies, in the city of Buenos Aires Project Regional Center of Anticipatory and Resilience Studies (CREAR)

8 The Scholas Occurrentes project is the Worldwide Network of Schools Getting Together, promoted by Pope Francis through the Pontifical Academy of Sciences MISSION: Link schools and education networks worldwide from educational, sports and art to improve education and achieve the inclusion, and in particular, to support low-income schools through cooperative strategies that include academic and athletic activities. VISION: Transforming the World in an inclusive, educational and educating society. VALUES: 1. Multiply Schools Integration Projects and educational networks. 2. Promote Educational Exchange Project. 3. Promote Education Meeting of Art and Popular Sports. 4. Support the realization of educational projects aimed at schools and excluded students. 5. Cause Olive Encounter for Peace through Education LINES OF ACTION: Initially this Network will develop the following lines of action: 1. Multiply Schools Integration Projects and educational networks. 2.Promote Educational Interchange Project. 3. Promoting Education Meeting of Art and Popular Sports. 4.
