PORTFOLIO VIOLA DE ARAME
ENGLISH RELEASE Photo by: Maíra do Amaral Cassio Nobre, Julio Caldas and Ricardo Hardmann present "VIOLA DE ARAME", a concert where the sound of this ancient 10 strings brazilian instrument (viola caipira), as well as its multiple tunning possibilities and its mysterious aura (related to deals with the devil!) is the main attraction. In "VIOLA DE ARAME" the language of traditional Brazilian "viola capira" is expressed by their own compositions, in an instrumental, popular and contemporary music ensemble. Viola de Arame brings sound power and experimentation, through a repertoire which cites diverse musical styles (samba de roda, baião and forró and choro) and other fusions (arab and latin rhythms). Since 2009, "VIOLA DE ARAME" has been presented in several music festivals: XVI Festival of Bahia Instrumental Music (2009), XI Festival of Jazz & Blues Guaramiranga (2010), II Capao Jazz Festival (2011), Mercado Cultural (2011), VIII Festival BNB of Instrumental Music (2013), II Winter Festival of Igatu (2014), Ciclo Brasis - Buenos Aires/Argentina (2017). In 2017, the group was oficially selected to perform at WOMEX 2017, in Katowice, Poland. At the ocasion, VIOLA DE ARAME's second album - "ARAME FARPADO" - will be released on digital platforms.
RELEASE EN ESPAÑOL Photo by: Maíra do Amaral Cassio Nobre, Júlio Caldas y Ricardo Hardmann presentan "Viola de Arame", un show y álbum (Viola de Arame, 2011) que investiga las sonoridades, los formatos y la "aura misteriosa" de la viola de arame - instrumento brasileño ancestral, tambien relacionado con pactos con el diablo! "Viola de Arame" trae el linguage de la viola tradicional para el universo instrumental, popular y contemporáneo, con composiciones de los dos violeiros del grupo. Desde el año 2009 vienen presentando en Festivales de Jazz y música instrumental en Brasil (XVI Festival de Música Instrumental de Bahía 2009, II Festival de Jazz de Capão 2011, XI Festival de Jazz y Blues de Guaramiranga 2010, Mercado Cultural/2011, VIII Festival BNB Da Música Instrumental/2013 e II Festival de Inverno de Igatú/2014). En marzo del 2017 estrenaron su nuevo show ("Arame Farpado") en Buenos Aires, Argentina. El album tiene lanzamiento digital previsto para octubre de 2017, en la edición anual de la Expo Mundial de la Música (WOMEX), en Polonia.
