Vivimos en la planta más alta y tenemos una vista espectacular de Madrid. Jugamos al fútbol en la plaza cerca de nuestro edificio pero siempre hay mucha gente. Me encanta la región pero es muy diferente a Valencia. Va a hacer mucho sol, pero el tiempo puede cambiar rápidamente y hacer mucho frío, aunque es verano. Además, vamos a estar mucho tiempo en el bosque bajo muchos árboles. SECOND PASSAGE SECTION 3 Quiero ver y sacar fotos de muchos pájaros nativos. Abuela, yo sé que te gustan los pájaros y los pájaros neocelandeses son muy diferentes de los pájaros en España. Creo que te encantaría ver un kereru, es como una paloma, pero es de color verde, blanco y morado. SECOND PASSAGE SECTION 4 Hará mucho calor el martes y no habrá viento así que voy a pasar el día en la playa del pueblo. No es como las playas en Valencia: no hay mucha gente y las olas son más grandes y fuertes. En Taranaki las playas son negras! Qué diferente! SECOND PASSAGE SECTION 5 Cuando hace mucho calor durante el día es difícil andar en la arena negra porque está caliente y te duelen los pies. Además, tengo que tener cuidado porque cuando fuimos a la playa la semana pasada me quemé mucho con el sol, especialmente en la cara, aunque no hace tanto calor aquí como en Valencia. Mi padre trabaja como carpintero y mi madre cuida de mis abuelos que viven con nosotros. Mi padre no gana mucho dinero, pero es suficiente y tenemos una vida tranquila. Mi barrio está al lado del mar y aunque no hay mucho que hacer por aquí, mis amigos y yo pasamos las tardes hablando en la playa o en la calle. THIRD PASSAGE SECTION 2 READER 4 En el pasado, cuando yo era pequeño, Cuba era muy diferente. Por ejemplo, no había mucha comida variada, comíamos arroz y verduras casi todos los días. Además, no había internet y no había muchos teléfonos, televisiones, ni computadoras. No podíamos comprar muchos productos diferentes y en general la gente era pobre. Tengo un teléfono celular y mi amigo tiene internet en casa. A mis padres no les gustan todos los cambios, pero ahora hay más oportunidades para la gente joven en Cuba.
