1 CÓMO LLEGAR A TALAVERA DE LA REINA A Talavera de la Reina se puede llegar mediante tren o mediante autobús. 1. DEL AEROPUERTO DE BARAJAS A ATOCHA RENFE (TREN) TAXI: Puedes coger un taxi e ir directamente a Atocha Renfe (estación de tren). Precio 25 aprox. LÍNEA EXPRESS (AUTOBÚS): Puedes coger un autobús que te lleva directamente desde el aeropuerto de Barajas (T-4) hasta la estación de Atocha. Servicio cada 15 minutos las 24 horas del día. Precio del viaje 2. El viaje dura unos 40 minutos: METRO: Puedes coger el Metro, que tiene una estación en el aeropuerto, e ir a Atocha Renfe. Necesitas hacer algunos trasbordos. Te los ponemos a continuación: 1. Línea Rosa (Número 8) de Barajas a Nuevos Ministerios. 2. Línea Gris (Número 6) de Nuevos Ministerios a Pacífico. 3. Línea Azul Claro (Número 1) de Pacífico a Atocha Renfe. El viaje dura minutos. El precio es de 2 aprox. YA ESTÁS EN TALAVERA DE LA REINA Una vez te encuentres en la estación de autobuses o en la estación de tren, debes coger un autobús para ir a la Universidad, la Residencia está justo al lado, no tiene perdida. 1. Si estás en la parada de autobús, debes coger la línea 1 (roja). 2. Si estás en la estación de tren debes coger la línea 3 (rosa). Menos problemas a tu llegada Si reservas una plaza en la Residencia, tendrás alojamiento seguro cuando llegues a Toledo. Facilidades Te proporcionan todo lo que necesitas (incluyendo los muebles) Contras: Más caro - Las tarifas de una residencia a menudo son más altas que el alquiler de un piso. Mucho ruido - Las residencias pueden ser muy ruidosas a todas horas, incluso de noche. Si eres una persona que necesita paz y silencio para descansar y estudiar, entonces puede que una residencia no sea lo adecuado para ti. Falta de intimidad - Sólo tienes tiempo para ti mismo cuando tu compañero de habitación está en clase. Incluso es difícil ser tu mismo, ya que siempre pasa algo en las habitaciones. 4 Más barato Vivir en un piso compartido es más barato que vivir en una residencia. Más espacio - Sin duda tendrás más espacio que viviendo en una residencia. Más intimidad - Es más fácil encontrar tiempo para ti mismo. Incluso si tienes compañeros de piso, tienes tu propia habitación y tu propio espacio. Más silencioso No hay tanto ruido, aunque no es del todo silencioso. Sin embargo, es más fácil dormir y estudiar. Elegir compañero de piso - Di adiós a los compañeros de habitación que te emparejan a través de un cuestionario. Contras: Gastos varios Habrá gastos imprevistos que son normales al vivir en un piso compartido. Pueden ser gastos por las facturas del agua, luz, aparcamiento, uso del ordenador,... Quizá tengas que comprar muebles No todas los pisos ofrecen todos los muebles, lo que puede ser un dilema para los estudiantes.

5 TRAVELLING TO TALAVERA DE LA REINA If you want to travel to the city of Talavera de la Reina, you have two possibilities: going by train or by bus. 1º option: FROM BARAJAS AIRPORT IN MADRID TO ATOCHA RENFE (RAILWAY STATION) TAXI: You can take a taxi and go directly to Atocha Renfe (Railway station). Price 25 aprox. LÍNEA EXPRESS (BUS): You can get on a bus that brings you directly from the Airport (T-4) to Atocha Station. Service available 24 a day from 23:30 to 06:00 a.m.; at night, the route finishes in Plaza de Cibeles and is connected to EMT night buses net. Fare 2. The Hall of Residence Carmen Villar is near the university: 1. If you are at the bus station, take the city bus line 1 (red) 2. ORI will give all of you the offers we may receive. After this, it s responsibility of the own student to contact with the other student in order to know further details. 2. Please read this information before choosing your accommodation: a) Living in Hall of Residence Carmen Villar Pros: Cons: Sense of community - It's easier to make friends and there is always someone around to talk to or find a study buddy. Less problems upon arrival If you book a place in the Residence, you will have accommodation once you arrive in Toledo. Easy Living - They provide you with everything that you need (including furniture) Higher cost - The residence fees are often higher than rents in a shared flat Lots of noise - Residences can get very loud and noisy and at all hours of the night. So if you are the type of person that needs a lot of peace and quiet to sleep and study then it might not be right for you. Lack of privacy - Finding time to yourself is limited to when your roommate is off in class. Even then it's hard to really be by yourself as there is always something going on in the dorms. Sharing a space with a roommate means you have to learn to compromise b) Living in a shared flat

8 Pros: Less expensive It is generally cheaper than living on residence. More space - You will definitely have more space living in a shared flat rather than living in the dorms. More privacy - It's easier to find time to yourself. Even if you have college roommates, you will have your own room and your own space where you can retreat. Quieter - The noise levels are less extreme, but they aren't completely gone. Nevertheless, it will be easier to sleep and study. You choose your roommate - Say goodbye to the roommate matched to you by some questionnaire. Cons: Miscellaneous expenses - There will be many hidden costs associated with living in a shared flat. This includes utilities (hydro, water, etc) cable and internet bills, parking and commuting costs. A time-consuming activity If you prefer living in a shared flat, you should look for accommodation once you arrive in Toledo. Looking for accommodation does take time and patience. You may need to buy furniture - Not all houses are completely furnished which may be a dilemma to some students.
