3 Salutary Neglect England Neglected the colonies, not concerned with what laws were followed. This enabled the colonies to create their own governments: Inglaterra descuidado las colonias, no se ocupa de lo que se siguieron las leyes. 4 Taxation without Representation Taxes passed on colonist without their say in Parliament, they argued they had no representation in this governing body. 6 Economic The policies passed by Great Britain, interfered with the colonist ability to create commerce (trade) with anybody but England, this hindered the colonist from becoming economically independent. 9 Trade Restrictions Britain regulated trade with the colonies for her own benefit, through navigation(shipping) laws that forced the colonies to trade with only England Bretaña comercio regulado con las colonias para su propio beneficio, a través de las leyes de navegación (envío) que obligaron a las colonias para comerciar con solamente Inglaterra

10 Free Enterprise England failed to enforce the Navigation Acts (laws) and the colonist traded with whoever they wanted allowing them to create Free Enterprise. 11 Economic Power The Colonies made money through free trade, they got used to the Free Enterprise system and when England finally decided to enforce the Navigation Acts, it was TOO LATE!
