2 Gustar y otros verbos Verbo GUSTAR to indicate to like the subject is indicated by the indirect object. If the person likes more than one thing (nouns), the plural 3rd person of the verb is used. If the person likes to do more than one thing (verbs), the singular 3rd person of the verb is used.
3 Práctica gustan los gatos. (Usted) A María gustan los chicos. molestan mis amigos. (Ustedes) encanta la naturaleza. (Ellla) fascina el español. (Tú) gusta la fiesta. (Nosotros) disgusta bailar y correr. (YO) A Brandon interesa leer, escribir, y tocar música.
4 POR PARA vs. POR 1- duración de tiempo o parte del día (in the morning/afternoon/evening) 2- intercambio (in exchange for) 3- forma, manera o vía (by means of, by, by way of transportation or communication) 4- la causa, razón o el motivo por la acción (due to, because of, on behalf of) can be used w/infinitive 5- movimiento (along or through) 6- per (velocity, frequency, proportion) 7- la voz pasiva (pretérito de ser + participio pasado + POR + sujeto) 8- con infinitivos yet or left to do (when 2nd verb does not affect 1st)

7 Reflexive verbs 1- to refer to an action done to oneself 2- to express to get or to become 3- to express a reciprocal action
8 Direct Object Pronouns The Direct Object is the person, place or thing that directlyreceives the action of the verb. The Direct Object will only be represented once in a sentence, either with the noun or the pronoun. If it is the object of conjugated verb - If it is the object of a verb infinitive - infinitive. then place it before the verb. then attach it to the end of the Me te lo la nos os los las
9 Indirect object pronouns Indirect objects tell o whom or for whom the action of the verb is performed and answer the question to whom? Indirect object pronouns replace indirect objects and agree with them in gender and number. Me te le nos os les
10 Double indirect object pronoun Some verbs can have a direct object and an indirect object. Always use an IDOP when there is an indirect object La mesera nos trajo (a Juan y a mí) el pollo asado.
