1 Golf Course Mower Safety Instructor s Guide You need to read and understand operator s manual before using a mower. It will include all the information necessary to operate that mower. To prepare for mowing you should wear long hair up, and don t wear jewelry, loose fitting or baggy clothes. Wear work boots, safety glasses and hearing protection. If your mower is equipped with ROPS, you must wear your seatbelt. When the ROPS is in the lowered position rollover protection is disabled. Always check the area before mowing, keep an eye on the golfers while working around them, and avoid working in the carry zone.
