Overview de Renta Fija de Perú Julio 23, 2014 Los principales bancos peruanos mejoraron sus indicadores de solvencia desde 2012 El gobierno peruano demostró estar dispuesto a tomar medidas monetarias para reactivar la economía Recientemente, el Banco Central de Reserva del Perú (BCRP) decidió bajar la tasa de interés de referencia hasta 3,75% anual (desde 4% anual) luego de que se conociera que el dato de crecimiento económico de mayo (+1,8% a/a) fue menor a lo esperado por el consenso de analistas (3,1% a/a). Por otro lado, la inflación de junio fue +3,5% a/a, levemente inferior que la de mayo (+3,6% a/a), aunque aún se mantiene por encima de la meta para este año (2% anual +1%). Con la decisión de reducir la tasa de referencia, el Banco Central mostró un claro sesgo hacia el crecimiento por sobre la inflación. En este escenario, nuestro equipo de estrategia no espera nuevos recortes de la tasa de interés de referencia porque las expectativas de inflación permanecen altas. No obstante, ellos creen que las menores estimaciones de crecimiento (junto con la caída en la confianza empresarial) incrementaron la probabilidad de un recorte de la tasa en el futuro. María Belén García Analista de Research Leonardo Bazzi Responsable de Research Perú y Brasil encabezaron la lista de los países de la región con mejor desempeño crediticio de los últimos 6 años A principios de este mes Moody s elevó la calificación de la deuda soberana de Perú hasta A3 (desde Baa2) con perspectiva estable, convirtiéndose en la primera agencia en otorgarle una calificación A a la deuda soberana de Perú. En el caso de Perú, la mejora de la calificación crediticia responde a la expectativa de un fortalecimiento del balance y del marco fiscal del gobierno peruano y un sostenido impulso de reformas estructurales para incrementar el crecimiento potencial del país. Como consecuencia de la mejor calificación crediticia de la deuda peruana, la calificadora elevó la nota de los siguientes bancos: i) Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP, 1º en participación de mercado), ii) Scotiabank Perú (3º en participación de mercado) y iii) Banco Internacional del Perú - Interbank (BIP-I, 4º en participación de mercado). Además, Moody s resaltó que: i) BCP posee sólidos indicadores financieros y un alto potencial de crecimiento, ii) Scotiabank Perú posee una alta cobertura en todos los segmentos de clientes y presenta sólidos indicadores de rentabilidad y, iii) BIP-I evidenció un crecimiento saludable de su negocio y de su nivel de diversificación. 2
Los mayores bancos de Perú mejoraron sus ratios de solvencia desde 2012 y presentan buenos ratios de liquidez Banco de Crédito del Perú El Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP) es el mayor banco en términos de su participación de mercado (tanto en préstamos como en depósitos). El BCP lidera el volumen en la mayoría de los créditos por tipo de cliente, con excepción de los créditos para medianas empresas y microempresas (superado por BBVA Continental y Mibanco, respectivamente). El 69% de la cartera de créditos del banco se destina hacia empresas. BBVA Continental BBVA Continental es 2º banco peruano en términos de su participación de mercado (tanto en préstamos como en depósitos). El banco lidera el segmento de crédito a medianas empresas y posee una concentración del 69% de su cartera de préstamos a empresas. Los créditos hipotecarios también representan una proporción importante de sus créditos, con el 22% de la cartera de créditos. Interbank Interbank, con el cuarto lugar en cuanto a participación de mercado, es el segundo banco (después de BCP) más grande en términos de créditos al consumo concentrando su cartera en créditos al consumo (30%) e hipotecarios (19%). Comparativamente se observa que todas las entidades mejoraron sus ratios de solvencia desde 2012. Sin embargo, en cuanto a riesgo de capital global, los tres se encuentran por encima del promedio de la banca peruana. A mayo 2014, puede observarse que BBVA Continental posee el menor nivel de riesgo de capital global, mientras que BCP evidencia el menor pasivo total en función de su capital social y sus reservas. Al tomar los ratios de liquidez (activos líquidos / pasivos de corto plazo) se observa que el BCP registra (a mayo 2014) el mayor ratio de liquidez en moneda local y es el único de estos tres bancos que se encuentra por encima del total de la banca peruana. En cuanto al ratio de liquidez en moneda extranjera, los tres bancos se encuentran por encima del total del sistema bancario peruano, pero BBVA continental encabeza la lista superando ampliamente a los demás bancos.
