Negrótico by Osvaldo Di Paolo and Nadina Olmedo. This book explores the hybridity of gothic and hardboiled literature and film in Chile, Argentina, Spain and Costa Rica. Also, it focuses on the new hardboiled novel as the monstrous novel and traces the influence of gothic literature in hardboiled, under the termed coined as negrótico. Current Research Projects Patagonia se dice en plural: identidades y geografías imaginarias en la literatura patagónica argentina y chilena (1983- circa 2012). This is part of an international research committee funded by the National University in the Humanities and Social Sciences of Patagonia, Argentina. The project will start on January 1, 2013 and will conclude on December 15, 2015.
