QUIÉNES SOMOS? ABOUT US La Asociación de Acción Ferroviaria, CETREN, constituida en el año 1980 bajo la forma jurídica de asociación privada sin ánimo de lucro, es una entidad al servicio del sector ferroviario. The Asociación de Acción Ferroviaria, CETREN, was set up on 14 October 1980 as a private non-profit entity. It is an Entity that provides services to the railway sector. Since its creation, Cetren s basic mission has been to encourage, promote and protect railways as means of transport; and also to increase the knowledge, awareness and promotion of rail technology. Currently Cetren includes the leading undertakings public and private ownedlinked to the railway industry. Cetren is a certification body acting by order of third parties in an independent, impartial and technically competent way within every rail sector field and along with their own staff, Cetren counts on a wide range of experts in every rail field, as well as on the support of Universities and laboratories. Accredited by ENAC, the National Accreditation Body, Cetren provides its clients with rigor and a large experience assessing conformity. Así mismo, CETREN es el Organismo Designado para llevar a cabo los procedimientos de evaluación de la conformidad y de verificación citados en el artículo 2 de las decisiones de la comisión referentes a la adopción de las especificaciones técnicas de interoperabilidad, referentes a las normas españolas que tienen relación con los aspectos que no estén descritos en las ETI y que son comunes a los sistemas ferroviarios de alta velocidad y convencionales. CETREN is recognised as the Notified Body by the Spanish Government to the European Commission and other Member States of the European Union to perform EC verification of subsystems and assessment of conformity or suitability for the use of interoperability components under the following Directives: Directive 96/48/EC of the Council dated 23 July 1996, on the interoperability of the high-speed trans-european rail system. Directive 2001/16/EC of the European Parliament and Council of 19 March 2001, on interoperability of the trans-european conventional rail system. Directive 2008/57/EC of the European Parliament and Council of 17 June 2008 on interoperability of the rail system within the Community. CETREN is also the Designated Body to perform conformity assessment and verification procedures, as provided for in Article 2 under Commission decisions on implementing technical interoperability specifications, under Spanish regulations that are related to aspects not covered by TSIs which are common to high-speed and conventional rail systems. Both activities are accredited by ENAC, the National Accreditation Body. CETREN is a Certification Body to validate the fulfillment of the Technical Specifications for Approval of Order FOM 233/2006, of 31 January that provides for the terms to approve railway rolling stock and maintenance centers and sets fee prices to certify said rolling stock. CETREN is recognized as certification body by the National Safety Authority within the framework of European Standard EN 15085: Welding of railway vehicles and constituents EVALUADOR INDEPENDIENTE DE SEGURIDAD (ISA) INDEPENDENT SAFETY ASSESSOR (ISA) CETREN cuenta con el reconocimiento, como Evaluador Independiente de Seguridad (ISA), por parte del Ministerio de Fomento en los siguientes ámbitos: Reglamento CE/352/2009 de la Comisión Europea relativo a la adopción de un método común de seguridad para la evaluación y valoración del riesgo. SERVICIO DE TRADUCCIÓN TRANSLATION SERVICE CETREN ofrece un servicio de traducción técnica basado en un profundo conocimiento del sector y en herramientas de software que permiten reducir los costes de la prestación. Como Secretaría del Comité Técnico de Normalización 25 (AEN/CTN 25), Aplicaciones ferroviarias, CETREN realiza la traducción de Normas Europeas (EN), para su posterior publicación como Normas Españolas (UNE) por la Asociación Española de Normalización y Certificación, AENOR. Dada la especialización técnica requerida para llevar a cabo este trabajo, la Asociación dispone de un departamento especializado en traducciones e interpretaciones técnicas, incluyendo traducción jurada. CETREN offers a technical translation service based on sector thorough knowledge and software tools to enable reducing costs. Cetren Training, S.L.U., is the first private Training center, approved by the Ministry of Public Works, to give the necessary training to obtain and keep railway vehicle driving certifications, as well as different types of approvals of railway personnel under the terms established by Ministry Order FOM/2872/2010. Training Cetren was created with a vocation of service to all rail sector companies that need their workers to adapt to new legal requirements and which intend to have employees with a high level of preparation for positions related to safety. CURSOS ON-LINE ON-LINE COURSES Están dirigidos a particulares y empresas del sector. El objetivo es que aquellas personas sin experiencia en el sector puedan familiarizarse con la terminología básica del mundo ferroviario y adquieran unos conocimientos esenciales para desarrollar su labor profesional, de manera cómoda y sencilla. Cada uno de ellos puede ser realizado de manera independiente, si bien todos son complementarios y forman una unidad general de conocimientos. La duración aproximada de cada módulo es de 30 horas, con la ventaja de que al ser cursos on-line, pueden compaginarse con otras actividades y adaptarse a los horarios del alumno. Durante el curso el a alumno dispondrá de un tutor al que dirigir sus dudas y una vez finalizado el temario, deberá cumplimentar un cuestionario de evaluación on-line. Superado el examen, Cetren emitirá un certificado de aprovechamiento These are courses addressed to private individuals and companies in the rail sector. They are intended for people without experience in the sector who want to learn the basic terms of railways and have a basic knowledge to develop their professional activities. Each of them can be done independently, although all are complementary and form a general unity of knowledge. The approximate duration of each module is 30 hours, with the advantage that they are on-line courses and can be reconciled with other activities and so adapt to every student schedules. During the course the student has a tutor to whom direct their questions and once completed the syllabus, they must fill in an evaluation questionnaire on-line. After successfully completing the examination, Cetren issues a certificate of achievement.
