2 Today s reading offers significant messages: The universalist outlook of Christianity is founded upon universalist ideals already expressed by Israelite prophets like Isaiah and the psalms. The one true living god is the god of all the world. Christians can be inspired by Jesus own example of openness to learning and openness to loving others we regard different. In Jesus this eventually becomes the mission: Go into all the world Both Jews and Gentiles, men and women, the powerful and vulnerable, are invited to respond to God s boundless grace.for our shared or personal reflection: After a brief pause for silent reflection share your answers, ideas or feelings. Do I see God s grace as boundless or do I think it that it has limitations? How have experienced God s grace? How open am I to learning from others and from the experiences of life? How open am I to venturing beyond social norms or my own concepts in response to God s wisdom and ways? How am I involved in the Church s mission to the world, to the marginal and disenfranchised, to the vulnerable? Children six years or older will be baptized through the CCD program. 7 Fr. Joseph Jean Louis, OMI I was born in Haiti on February 14 th, After my studies at a secondary school, I entered the Pre-Novitiate for the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in September I made my first religious vows on September 8 th, 1997 in Blanchard Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I then continued on to first formation at Oblate Community in Port au Prince there I completed my studies in Philosophy. My provincial then decided to send me to Colombia as a missionary before beginning my studies in Theology. After my time in Colombia, I was sent to Bolivia where I continued my formation and obtained my Bachelors in Theology at the Universidad Catolica San Pablo. That same year, I made my perpetual vows in Cochabamba, Bolivia in February. At this point, I was already ordained to the transitional Deaconate. After my ordination to the priesthood in Haiti November 8th 2003, I returned to Colombia, where I worked as the Director of a seminary. During that time I also became the vocations Director for my congregation and served in that capacity for seven years. My congregation then decided to further my training and sent me to Madrid, Spain. At the Universidad Pontifical Comillas de Madrid, I obtained a degree specializing in family psychotherapy. I arrived at Corpus Christi Parish on August 1st With great joy I am here to serve the people of God in the Archdiocese of Miami. Fr. Joseph Jean Louis, OMI Padre. Joseph Jean Louis, OMI Nací en Haití en febrero 14, Después de mis estudios secundarios, entre al Pre- Noviciado como Misionero Oblato de María Inmaculada en septiembre Hice mis primeros votos el 8 de septiembre, 1997 en Blachard, Puerto Príncipe, Haití. Continué mi primera formación en la comunidad de Oblatos en Puerto Príncipe donde terminé mis estudios de filosofía. Mi provincial decidió enviarme a Colombia como misionero antes de comenzar mis estudios de Teología. De Colombia, fui enviado a Bolivia, donde continué mi formación y obtuve mi bachillerato en Teología en la Universidad Católica San Pablo. El mismo año hice mis votos perpetuos en Cochabamba, Bolivia en el mes de febrero. En ese momento quede ya ordenado en el diaconado transitorio. Después de mi ordenación como sacerdote en Haití el 8 de noviembre 2003, regresé a Colombia, donde trabajé como Director de un seminario. Durante ese tiempo me convertí en director de vocaciones para mi congregación permaneciendo ahí por siete años. Mi congregación decide para ampliar mi entrenamiento enviarme a Madrid, España. En la Universidad Pontifica Comillas de Madrid obtuve una especialización en psicoterapia de familia. Llegue a la Parroquia de Corpus Christi el 1ro de agosto, Con gran alegría para servir al pueblo de Dios de la Arquidiócesis de Miami.
