1 Finance Meeting The Finance Committee will meet Monday, March 28 th at 7:00pm in the Parish Center. We have died with Christ. We carry about in our bodies the sign of his death, so that the living Christ may also be revealed in us. The life we live is not now our ordinary life but the life of Christ: a life of sinlessness, of chastity, of simplicity and every other virtue. We have risen with Christ. St. Ambrose Young Women s Group The YWG will host a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 10 th after the 8:00 & 10:30am Masses in the Parish Hall. Cost: $5 Adults and $3 Children (under 12). Therefore, I need your assistance when you have a family member who is hospitalized or in a nursing home. Please call Fr. Orosco at the Church Office at (972) so that I may be of assistance.

3 Religious Education Calendar for April: Ø Sunday Classes: 3 rd, 10 th, 17 th, 24 th. Ø Tuesday Classes: 5 th, 12 th, 19 th, 26 th. Ø Wednesday Classes: 6 th, 13 th, 20 th, 27 th. Religious Education Calendar for May: Ø Sunday Classes: 1 st, 15 th (last class of the school year). No classes on Mother s Day May 8 th. Ø Tuesday Classes: 3 rd, 10 th (last class of the school year). Ø Wednesday Classes: 4 th, 11 th (last class of the school year). Lenten Sacrifice Project Thanks to all the students that placed money in their Lenten Sacrifice boxes. These boxes are to be turned in to their teachers at the next class. The money collected from the Lenten project this year will benefit the St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Martin s in Forney, where many of our parishioners have been referred in time of need. Confirmation Retreats in April Due to the large number of Confirmation students, there will be two Confirmation retreats this year. Deacon Jose Mora, a youth minister and active Deacon in the Diocese of Lubbock, will present the retreats on April 9 th and 10 th. The 8 th grade retreat is Saturday, April 9 th starting at 10:00am and ending with Mass at 4pm. The High School retreat begins with Mass at 8am on Sunday, April 10 th and ends at 3pm. Confirmation Masses The Confirmation Mass for students in Grade 8 will be celebrated on Friday, May 13 th, at 7pm. The Confirmation Mass for High School students will be celebrated on Friday, May 20 th, at 7pm. The newly confirmed students will be honored at a reception in the Parish hall after each of the Confirmation Masses. Thank You, Knights of Columbus! Special thanks to the Knights of Columbus for giving the Confirmation students the opportunity to help serve at the Fish Fry dinners during Lent. The students earned much-needed service hours and tips totaling $ from the patrons! That money will be used to help pay for the Confirmation retreats April 9 th and 10 th. Thank you! Thank you! CREEMOS DE VERAS EN LA RESURRECCION DE CRISTO? Hoy es un buen día para que cada uno de nosotros se pregunte si de verdad cree que Cristo resucito. Ser cristiano no es solo creer en Dios (hay millones de creyentes que no son cristianos). Ser cristiano no es solo creer en una vida que no termina con la muerte (hay muchas personas que esperan otra vida sin ser cristianos). Ser cristiano no es solo creer en la necesidad de llevar una vida basada en el amor, la justicia y la verdad (hay muchos hombres, incluso no creyentes, que de hecho procuran vivir así). Entonces, Qué nos distingue a los cristianos? Ser cristiano es creer en la resurrección de Jesucristo quien es verdadero Dios y verdadero hombre-, aceptarlo como criterio (es el Maestro) y fuente (es el único Salvador) de nuestra vida, tener conciencia de que su Espíritu está en nosotros y, por supuesto, actuar en consecuencia. El Grupo de Muchachas Jóvenes El Grupo de Muchachas Jóvenes van a tener Almuerzo de panqueque el domingo, 10 de abril después de las Misas de las 8 y 10:30am en el Salón Parroquial. El costo es: $5 Adultos y $3 Niños (menor de 12 años). Jesús ha Resucitado! El Diacono José Mora, un ministro de la juventud y un diacono en la Diócesis de Lubbock presentara los retiros el sábado, 9 de abril y el domingo, 10 de abril. Los estudiantes del grado 8 tendrán su retiro el sábado comenzando a las 10am y terminando con la Misa de las 4pm. Los estudiantes de la escuela segundaria (high school) tendrán su retiro el domingo comenzando con Misa a las 8am y terminando a las 3pm. La Misa de Confirmación para el grado 8 será celebrada el viernes, 13 de mayo a las 7pm. La Misa de Confirmación para los estudiantes de la high school será celebrada el viernes, 20 de mayo a las 7pm. Enseguida tendremos una recepción en el salón parroquial después de cada misa.
