2 INSTALLATION STEPS (Continued) STEP 1. FOR MODEL 8411 WITH SPRAY: Insert spray hose down through spray support on escutcheon and far right hole in sink. Place locknut on spray hose and then insert spray hose up through center hole in sink. Move on to STEP 3. STEP 2. FOR MODEL 8511 WITH SPRAY: Mount spray support in far right hole in sink. Insert spray hose down through spray support and then up through center hole in sink. Move on to STEP 3. PASOS PARA INSTALACION (Continùa) PASO 1. PARA MODELO 8411 CON EL ROCIADOR: Inserte la manguera del rociador hacia abajo pasando por la base del rociador en el chapetón, situada en el hueco en la esquina derecha del fregadero. Coloque la contratuerca en la manguera del rociador y luego inserte la manguera hacia arriba por el hueco en el centro del fregadero. Siga con el PASO 3. PASO 2. Using a wrench, attach spray hose tightly to spray hose nipple. PASO 3. Utilizando la llave de tuercas, fije bien apretada la manguera del rociador a la entrerrosca de ésta. STEP 4. Without straightening copper tubes, feed tubes down through center hole of sink. PASO 4. If sink is uneven or gasket does not properly seal, use of silicone sealant in place of gasket may be required. Screw locknuts onto threaded shanks and hand tighten. No wrench is required. Loosen set screw in handle and rotate handle so set screw faces front of sink. Tighten set screw. STEP 6. Facing the front of faucet, gently bend copper tubes to align with water supplies. Right hand tube is cold water, left hand tube is hot water. CAUTION: DO NOT CROSS TUBES! KINKED TUBES WILL VOID THE WARRANTY. Bend tubes by firmly gripping tube and applying palm and thumb pressure as you slowly bend tube into position. PASO 5. Coloque la llave en su sitio en el fregadero. 3 INSTALLATION STEPS (Continued) STEP 7. Make connections to water supplies. PASOS PARA INSTALACION (Continùa) PASO 7. Haga las conexiones a los suministros de agua. WATER SUPPLY HOOK-UPS (NOT PROVIDED) Choose hook-ups for 1/2" I.P.S. connections: Ball nose riser (3/8" O.D. copper tubing), or 1/2" I.P.S. faucet connector. CONNECT TO WATER SUPPLIES. CONECTE A LOS SUMINISTROS DE AGUA. STEP 8. IMPORTANT: After installation is complete, remove aerator, turn handle to full on mixed position. Turn on water supplies, check for leaks and let lines flush for one minute without moving faucet handle. This will remove debris from lines which can damage internal parts of faucet and create leaks. After flushing shut off water at faucet and replace aerator. PASO 8. IMPORTANTE: Después que haya completado la instalación, quite el aireador y gire la manija a la posición de completamente abierta en agua mixta. DO NOT SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLIES. 2. Using wrench tighten adjusting ring until water no longer leaks around stem of ball when faucet is on and pressure is exerted to force ball into socket. 1 SI LA LLAVE TIENE FUGAS ABAJO LA MANIJA 1. Usando la llave que se le provee, apriete el anillo de ajuste hasta que el agua pare de fugar alrededor del vástago de la bola cuando la llave esta abierta y hay presión para forzar la bola en el encaje. 1 IF FAUCET LEAKS FROM SPOUT OUTLET- Replace seats and springs RP Gently rotate and lift off spout. 4. Remove old seats and springs and replace with new seats and springs. Note: Refer to insert for proper seat and spring installation. Re-assemble faucet in reverse order. IF LEAK PERSISTS- Replace ball assembly RP Slip packing then cam on new ball and insert into socket. Reinstall cap and handle. SI LA FUGA PERSISTE- Reemplace el conjunto de la bola con el Equipo para Reparaciones RP Desatornille el ensamble de la tapa y saque el ensamble de la bola y la leva halando la espiga hacia arriba Deslice el empaque y luego la leva en la bola nueva e introduzcalo en la boquilla. Instale de nuevo la tapa y la manija. HELPFUL HINTS: 1. Never tighten cap assembly to stop a leak, always tighten adjusting ring. 2. Using wrench (accessory order only), partially unscrew adjusting ring before attempting to remove cap assembly. Always install cap assembly HAND TIGHT, then tighten adjusting ring. SUGERENCIAS UTILES: 1. Nunca apriete el conjunto del casquete para parar una fuga, siempre apriete el anillo de ajuste. 2. Usando una llave de tuercas (por pedido de accesorio solamente), desenrosque parcialmente el anillo de ajuste antes de tratar de sacar el ensamble del casquete. 5 IF FAUCET LEAKS FROM AROUND SPOUT BODY-Replace O-Rings Repair Kit RP Gently rotate and lift off spout. 4. Cut and remove o-rings. Stretch new o-rings and snap into grooves on body. Re-assemble faucet in reverse order. CAUTION: Be careful when putting spout back on to gently rotate it until it rests on escutcheon. Estire los anillos O nuevos y colóquelos en su sitio al soltarlos sobre las ranuras del cuerpo. Ensamble de nuevo la llave en orden reverso. PRECAUCIÓN: Tenga cuidado cuando vuelva a colocar el tubo de salida de girarlo suavemente hasta que quede apoyado en el chapetón. IF FAUCET EXHIBITS WATER FLOW REDUCTION 1.Remove aerator and flush faucet, check for large debris and replace aerator. SI LA LLAVE MUESTRA UNA REDUCCION EN EL FLUJO DEL AGUA 1. Saque el aireador y deje correr el agua para limpiar las líneas, revise por desechos grandes y reponga el aireador. IF REDUCED FLOW IS STILL NOTED- Clear springs of debris and flush system. 3. Remove seat and spring and any debris trapped in spring. IMPORTANT: USE EXTREME CAUTION. Flush lines by opening water supplies SLIGHTLY! We recommend placing a bucket over the valve opening to prevent water spray. Repeat procedure on other valve. Shut off water supplies and re-assemble faucet in reverse order. HELPFUL HINTS: 2. Using wrench (accessory order only), partially unscrew adjusting ring before attempting to remove cap assembly. Always install cap assembly HAND TIGHT, then tighten adjusting ring.
