3 Pope Francis on Sacraments and Justice By virtue of Baptism and Confirmation we are called to conform ourselves to Christ, who is the Good Samaritan for all who suffer. We know love by this, that he laid down his life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for one another (1 Jn 3:16). When we draw near with tender love to those in need of care, we bring hope and God s smile to the contradictions of the world. When generous devotion to others becomes the hallmark of our actions, we give way to the Heart of Christ and bask in its warmth, and thus contribute to the coming of God s Kingdom. The image of the gate directs our attention to Jesus the Risen One who always recognizes us and cares for Seek us, to Jesus our Shepherd. Camp St. Bernard is a day and overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-14 held at St. Bernard Abbey in Cullman. En el 2007 la peregrinación a la Virgen del Verdún llevaba como lema De la mano de María, discípulos y misioneros de Jesucristo. Este bello refrán nos recuerda que vamos caminando de la mano de María, nuestra hermana en la fe, para ser como ella, discípulos de su hijo y misioneros del mensaje redentor de Jesucristo. No obstante, hay que reconocer que mucho cristianos, especialmente nosotros, los latinoamericanos, nos quedamos sólo con María y nunca llegamos a Jesús.
