Flower Intentions-Poinsettia Donations For this Advent & Christmas, we are asking for donations of potted Poinsettia flowers. Place a ribbon on the flower with your family name and we will pray for your intentions at all the Christmas Masses. You may drop off your Poinsettias on the Altar throughout Advent and Christmas time. We thank you in advance for your participation and your fidelity to St. Anne Church. GOD S PROMISE The lengthy passage from Samuel is a wonderful exposition of God s promise to the house of David: that his throne would forever be gloriously occupied by his descendants. Hidden in the mystery of the prophecy is the promise of the Savior, the Messiah, Son of God and Son of David. The prophet Nathan, speaking in God s name, poetically turns around David s plan to build a house for God, and announces God s plan to build a house, that is, a dynasty for David. From this house of David will come the Messiah, the Christ, not in kingly splendor as David ruled, but as a humble man, destined to rule forever and over all. 5 24 DE DICIEMBRE 2017 PAGINA 5 CUARTO DOMINGO DE ADVIENTO Las Posadas nos ayudan a recordar a quien estamos esperando esta Navidad. Esperamos la venida del niño Jesús. Cuando José y María estaban pidiendo posada, muchos les negaron un lugar para pasar la noche. Para revivir el recorrido de Jesús, María y José aquí en nuestra Parroquia tendremos Posadas empezando a las 6:00pm seguido por la misa de 7:00 de la noche. Los invitamos a que vengan con toda su familia para prepararnos para la llegada del niño Dios en esta Navidad. Después de la Misa se les dará aguinaldos a los niños y tendremos chocolate y pan. The Posadas help us remember who we are expecting this Christmas. We await the coming of baby Jesus. When Joseph and Mary were asking for shelter, many denied them a place to spend the night. To relive the journey of Jesus, Mary and Joseph here in our parish by asking for posada (shelter) beginning at 6:00 pm followed by Mass at 7:00 pm. All are invited to come with your family to truly prepare ourselves for the arrival of baby Jesus this Christmas. After Mass, treat bags will be given to the children and we will also have hot chocolate and bread.
