4 The lord is with you. The message of these season of Advent and Christmas, as in every season of the year, is that the Lord is with each of us and with all of humanity. The Young people you work with may feel isolated and different from others when they try to put God first in their lives. Today s message seems just for them. God s love is everlasting. God will always be faithful to covenant he has established with us, even in the face of our frailty and human failure. Mary s response to the angle s declaration was an ascent of faith and a willingness to live out God s plan for humanity. Let them know that the Lord is indeed with them. Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts.
