2 SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CONCERT Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School Christmas Concert took place on Wednesday, December 19 at OLHR Church. Over 400 families, parishioners, and community members joined OLHR faculty and staff to observe the Posada, which preceded a spectacular music celebration. Juliet Kirk, Education Through Music-Los Angeles (ETM-LA) and OLHR music teacher led the student performances. Grades pre-school through 8 entertained with such carols as Feliz Navidad, Holly Jolly Christmas, Silver Bells, and Joy To The World. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of a jumbo thank you card to Victoria Lanier, Executive Director of ETM-LA, for her organization s generosity in providing funding and a talented music instructor for the school s music program. - CONCIERTO DE NAVIDAD EN NUESTRA ESCUELA DEL SANTO ROSARIO El miércoles 19 de diciembre, nuestra escuela parroquial tuvo la presentación del concierto de Navidad con la participación de todos los alumnos desde Pre-escolar a Octavo. Más de 400 familias, parroquianos y miembros de la comunidad, junto con los maestros y todo el personal de la escuela asistieron a esta hermosa presentación. La celebración inició con el rezo del Santo Rosario y en seguida se pidió la posada. Inmediatamente después tuvo lugar el espectacular concierto dirigido por la profesora de música Juliet Kirk, que forma parte de Educación A través de la Música en Los Ángeles (ETM-LA). Todos los alumnos participaron entonando diferentes villancicos como Feliz Navidad, Holly Jolly Christmas, Silver Bells and, Joy To The World. Al inicio de la celebración se presentó una tarjeta de tamaño gigante para dar gracias a la Directora Ejecutiva del programa ETM-LA, Victoria Lanier, ya que gracias a su generosidad nuestra escuela cuenta con un programa de música para desarrollar el talento de nuestros estudiantes.
