Amplifie Connection (TO AUDIO AMP) To listen thogh a sepaate steeo system, connect an extenal adio amplifie TO AUDIO AMP inpts on back of television. 11 INSTAATION Pogam Ot Connection (POG OUT) To se the television adio and video with optional eqipment, connect the POG OUT and TO AUDIO AMP connections on the back of the television. Pocede 1. Connect optional eqipment to POG OUT and TO AUDIO AMP teminals. 2. POG OUT teminal display is the same as onsceen display. 3. See optional eqipment manal fo fthe instctions fo ecoding and monitoing. Digital TV - Set-Top Box (DTV-STB) o DVD Connection This television is capable of displaying 1080i and 480p DTV signals when connected to a DTV Tne set-top-box (STB). In ode to view DTV pogamming, the STB mst be connected to the component video inpts (Y, P B, P ) of the television. A DTV signal mst be available in yo aea. Select the otpt of the STB to eithe 1080i o 480p. This television also tilizes a pogessive scan doble, which de-intelaces the NTSC signal and pogessively scans the image. This allows yo to sit close to the TV and not see the thin black hoizontal lines (venetian blind effect) associated with intelaced TV pictes. Use this diagam to connect the Panasonic DTV-STB (Digital TV-Set-Top Box) o DVD Playe to the back of yo TV. This allows yo to watch two (2) live boadcasts at the same time with o withot an extenal video soce sch as a VC, cable box, etc. Pocede Pess the PIP btton on the emote contol to display the PIP fame onsceen. Note: The adio is fom the Main Picte only. 1. Choose channels fo the PIP fame by pessing the emote contol PIP CHANNE p/down bttons. 2. Choose channels fo the Main Picte by pessing the emote contol CH p/down bttons o by sing the nmeic keypad. SWAP Btton The SWAP btton switches the PIP and Main Picte soce. Pess the ECA btton fo onsceen PIP and Main Picte soce stats. PIP Opeation with a Cable Box Pocede To view pemim (scambled) cable channels thogh yo cable box in the Main Picte: Note: Use this pocede if yo want to watch pemim cable channels in the Main Picte while viewing a television pogam o video in the PIP fame. 1. Select ANT2 in the SET UP men nde Pog Chan (Pogam Channels). 2. Tne television to Channel Pess the PIP btton on the emote contol to display the PIP fame onsceen. Note: The adio is fom the Main Picte only. 4. Veify the cable box is ON. 5. Choose channels fo the Main Picte by tning the cable box. 6. Choose channels fo the PIP fame by pessing the TV btton on the emote contol and sing the PIP CHANNE p/down bttons. Note: Swap is not available when sing the cable box to tne channels. If yo cable box has a video otpt, it can be connected to the television to allow yo to se all PIP fnctions. See the eqipment manal fo moe infomation. TO AUDIO AMP ANT DECODIFICADO DE CABE 8 Nota: El contol emoto debe se pogamado con los códigos qe se inclyen paa opea la videocasetea y decodificado de cable (caja de cable). Vea Pogamación del Contol emoto en la Gía de efeencia ápida paa el Contol emoto. Viendo n canal de cable pemim (codificado) Pocedimiento 1. Seleccione ANT2 en el menú de SET UP (Ajste) bajo POG CNS (Pogamación de canales). 2. Sintonice la televisión al canal Usando el decodificado de cable, sintonice al canal de cable pemim qe desea ve. Nota: Paa sa la fnciones especiales tales como Canales Favoitos y Títlos de canal (vea la sección de Fnciones Especiales paa más infomación), ANT1 debe esta seleccionada en el menú de SET UP bajo POG CNS. Gabando n canal de cable pemim (codificado) Pocedimiento 1. Seleccione ANT2 en el menú de SET UP bajo POG CNS. 2. Pesione el botón TV/VIDEO en el contol emoto paa selecciona la entada de vídeo (VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2, etc) qe está conectada con s videocasetea. 3. Encienda la videocasetea. 4. Sintonice la videocasetea al canal 3 ó 4, dependiendo de la posición del intepto en la pate posteio de s videocasetea. 5. Usando el decodificado de cable, sintonice al canal de cable pemim qe desea gaba. 6. Comienze a gaba. Nota: Paa ve n canal difeente mientas gaba: Seleccione ANT1 en el menú de SET UP bajo POG CNS. Pesione el botón TV/VIDEO en el contol emoto paa selecciona la modalidad de televisión. Sintonice la televisión a n pogama de televisión (excepto oto canal de cable pemim).

39 Conexiones de Eqipo Adicional INSTAACIÓN Pesione paa abi el panel fontal de la televisión paa sa las entadas se Adio/Vídeo paa eqipo opcional. Pesione el botón TV/VIDEO paa selecciona la modalidad de entada VIDEO 4. CONEXIONES EN E FENTE DE A TEEVISION 4 HPJ S-VIDEO VIDEO - AUDIO - Una segnda videocasetea, n epodcto de videodiscos, n eqipo de videojegos y eqipo de DSS (sistema de tansmisión digital vía satélite) peden también se conectados a las conexiones de Adio/Vídeo. Vea el manal de s eqipo opcional paa más detalles. Pocedimiento 1. Conecte s eqipo a las conexiones Adio/Vídeo en la pate fontal o posteio de la televisión. 2. Seleccione la entada de vídeo coespondiente pesionando el botón TV/VIDEO. 3. Opee el eqipo como se instye en el manal del eqipo. Nota: a conexión S-VIDEO povee mejo calidad de imagen. Anla toda ota conexión de VIDEO. Utilice 4, AUDIO y con la conexión S-VIDEO. INFOMACIÓN IMPOTANTE SOBE E USO DE JUEGOS DE VIDEO, COMPUTADOAS, TEETEXTOS U OTOS DESPIEGUES DE IMAGEN FIJA. El so extensivo de mateiales de pogamación con imagen fija peden casa na imagen de somba pemanente en el tbo de imagen. Esta imagen de fondo se ve en pogamas nomales en la foma de na imagen fija estacionaia. Este tipo de deteioación en el tbo de imagen es ievesible peo pede se limitada de acedo a las sigientes indicaciones: A. edzca el ajste de billo/contaste a n nivel mínimo. B. No tilice la imagen fija po lagos peíodos de tiempo. C. Apage la potencia cando no se encente en so. Nota: Calqiemaca o imagen qe se etiene en el tbo de imagen como esltado del so de imagen fija no se considea n defecto de fncionamiento y como tal, no está cbieto po la gaantía. Este podcto no está diseñado paa mosta patones de imagen fija po lagos peíodos de tiempo. Conexión del Amplificado (TO AUDIO AMP) Paa esccha el sonido a tavés de n sistema estéeo sepaado, conecte n amplificado exteno a las conexiones TO AUDIO AMP en la pate posteio de la televisión. Nota: as conexiones TO AUDIO AMP no peden se conectadas diectamente a altavoces (bocinas) extenas. Ajstes de Adio 1. Seleccione en la pantalla ATAVOCES SI en el menú de AUDIO (SONIDO). 2. Ajste el volmen del amplificado al mínimo. 3. Ajste el volmen de la televisión al nivel deseado. 4. Ajste el volmen del amplificado hasta igala el de la televisión. 5. Seleccione ATAVOCES APAGADAS Y SAIDA DE AUDIO VAIABE en el menú de AUDIO (SONIDO). 6. Ahoa pede contola el volmen, el silencio, los bajos, los altos, y el balance sando la televisión. Nota: Seleccione ATAVOCES APAGADAS Y SAIDA DE AUDIO FIJA paa contola las fnciones de adio a tavés del amplificado exteno. 9

40 INSTAACIÓN Conexión (POG OUT) Paa sa el adio y vídeo con eqipo opcional, conecte las teminales POG OUT y TO AUDIO AMP en la pate posteio de la televisión. Pocedimiento 1. Conecte el eqipo opcional a las teminales POG OUT y TO AUDIO AMP. 2. El desplegado de la teminal POG OUT es igal qe el desplegado en pantalla. 3. Vea el manal del eqipo opcional paa más instcciones paa gaba y monitoea. Conexión del Decodificado de Televisión Digital (DTV-STB) o Disco de Video Digital Utilice este diagama paa conecta el decodificado de Televisión Digital Panasonic (DTV-STB) o Disco de Video Digital a s Televiso. Conecte n amplificado de sonido envolvente (Salida de la bocina del canal cental) a CENTE CHANNE (entada del canal cental) en la pate posteio de la televisión, como se mesta.
