1 Make your own Box Tops collection container It s easy here s what you need: Scissors or craft knife (make sure children are supervised when using cutting tools!) Glue or tape Paint, crayons or markers Two Hefty Serve n Store Plates A short piece of fishing line or string. Directions: 1. Print out the collection project design. 2. Cut out the circles on the following pages. Do not cut the mouth line until step Snap the two plates together and glue the circles you just cut-out to each side. Make sure the lines on each side indicating where to cut the mouth are aligned. 4. Cut along the dotted lines to form the mouth. Imagine the dotted lines extending to the edge of the plates. 5. Cut two slots on the back end of the fish to insert the wedge piece you just removed from the mouth. This will form the back fins. 6. Have your child color and decorate the fish. 7. Cut out the Box Top illustration from the first sheet. Fold, tape and color it. 8. Use your fishing line/string and tape to hang the Box Top inside the fish s mouth. 9a. If you want to hang the fish, open the plates and tape one end of the string inside at the top. 9b. To attach the fish to a cork board, open the plates and use pins to attach one side before rejoining the plates. 10. When it comes time to submit your Box Tops, just pull apart the plates! Earnings tip: Make several of these containers and give them to friends and family, or bring them to work. Don t forget to label the design with your name and school. Si desea colgar el pez, abra los platos y con la cinta adhiera un extremo del cordel en la parte superior, entre los platos. 9b. Para adherir el pez a un panel de corcho, abra los platos y use alfileres para adherir uno de los lados, luego vuelva a juntar los platos. 10. A la hora de entregar las tapas de caja, simplemente separe los platos! Sugerencia para las ganancias: Haga varios recipientes de este tipo y regálelos a sus amigos y familiares, o llévelos al trabajo. No se olvide de incluir su nombre y el de su escuela en el diseño. Es una manera excelente de recordarles a todos a que recorten las tapas de caja... y cuántas más junte, más ganará su escuela!
