Task 1 Read and complete the text Consejos útiles para practicar el senderismo below with the appropriate words from the list which follows. Please note that three words are not required. (5 points) [Reading Competence: 5 points] Document A Consejos útiles para practicar el senderismo A Antes de ponerte en marcha, planea y marca en un la ruta que vas a seguir. Recuerda que un grupo de tres es aconsejable como mínimo. Es esencial tener buena información meteorológica, una brújula y prismáticos. El calzado debe ser (generalmente botas de montaña) y la ropa cómoda y de abrigo. Lleva zapatillas para descansar al final del trayecto, un chubasquero en caso de lluvia, y un botiquín (con tiritas, crema antiséptica y esparadrapo). 1 5 CONTINUED

C Si fumas, apaga las colillas para evitar fuegos. Una linterna es esencial por la noche. También lleva una bolsa de plástico para la basura. D Si sales, avisa a donde te diriges. Si no conoces el camino perfectamente, no salgas de excursión con niebla; pero, si te pierdes en la niebla, 15 quédate en donde estás sin perder la calma. E No cortes plantas, y no salgas de los itinerarios marcados: el buen respeta la naturaleza. La conservación del medio ambiente exige el respeto de las áreas restringidas. En cada cabina hay un funcionario al que tienes que responder preguntas sobre tu visita. 1 B Una llamada a casa te cuesta una fortuna desde el hotel. Es más barato hacerlo desde una cabina en la calle. Compra tarjetas en el aeropuerto, en el hotel o en los estancos. 5 C D E Puedes alquilar un coche en el aeropuerto, pero comprueba que esté bien. Tienes que pagar otra cantidad por el seguro. Es una aventura conducir en Cuba por la escasez de señalizaciones y porque las carreteras tienen agujeros enormes Si te metes por una calle prohibida y te para un policía, no te preocupes: seguramente va a dejarte marchar. La Habana es segura, pero evita zonas como Centro Habana por la noche o subir a los camellos, los autobuses de la ciudad. Los robos con violencia son raros. No comas en la calle. Las pizzas son diferentes de las que conoces. La masa está prácticamente cruda, el aceite es de palma y la harina no es de trigo. Es fácil encontrar música en vivo en plena calle. Si el dinero no es problema para ti, el Tropicana es un clásico para tomar una copa y bailar. Para escuchar y bailar salsa, ve a La Casa de la Música. En La Habana hay algunos centros comerciales que venden ropa, zapatos y cosméticos. Además, puedes encontrar ropa o productos de higiene y medicinas en los grandes hoteles. En el barrio de Miramar venden guayaberas, la camisa tradicional cubana. Hay pocos supermercados, y la variedad de productos es mínima. Una botella de aceite de oliva o una lata de atún te cuestan oro. El precio del café o el ron para llevar no está mal F Al volver, llega pronto al aeropuerto y haz cola.
