6 Los objetos indirectos y directos When you replace both a direct and an indirect object with its pronoun, first list the indirect object, then list the direct object. Don t forget your I.D. (you may be carded!) You cannot have two pronouns beginning with l in a row. (le, lo / les, la / le, las). Le, les se You can t lay low (le, lo), you must say low (se lo) Underline the direct object. 7 Pronoun Positioning Object pronouns take different positions in a sentence. o Before a conjugated verb. (Tú lo lees.) o It CAN be attached to the end of an infinitive verb (if there is an infinitive verb in the sentence). (Tú necesitas leerlo. or Tú lo necesitas leer.) o It MUST be attached to the end of an affirmative command. ( Léelo!) The following sentences have both a conjugated verb and an infinitive verb. Re-write each sentence moving the object pronoun(s) to an alternate location. por ejemplo: Lo voy a comer. Voy a comerlo. 1. Necesito hacerla. 2. Voy a comprártelo. 3. Se lo voy a dar. 4. 8 In Progress El presente progresivo The present progressive tense tells what is happening NOW, as we speak. In English, the present progressive verb uses the suffix ing.
