WARM UP CALENTAMIENTO. Un buen calentamiento permite conseguir el máximo del potencial físico y ayuda en la prevención de lesiones.

1 WARM UP Warming up involves doing a series of exercises that cause an increase in body temperature. This allows the muscles and joints to work faster and more effectively. A good warm up allows you to achieve maximum physical performance and helps to prevent injuries. It is important to follow a specific order when doing the exercises, we usually have the following phases: 1. Activation (slow running and soft exercises) 2. Joint mobility 3. Stretching 4. Acceleration (chasing games, sprints, strength exercises ) - Types o General warm-up. Theoretically, this is for every physical activity (most of them). It involves the use of the majority of the muscles. For instance, a basketball player and a swimmer could do the same joint mobility with their arms. o Specific warm-up. It is the set of exercises done before participating in a specific sport. For instance, dribbling the basketball or shooting baskets before the game, passing the ball before the soccer match, or practicing the serve before a tennis match. CALENTAMIENTO El calentamiento consiste en una serie de ejercicios que producen un increment de la temperatura corporal. Esto permite a los músculos y articulaciones trabajar de manera más rápida y más efectiva. Un buen calentamiento permite conseguir el máximo del potencial físico y ayuda en la prevención de lesiones. Es importante seguir un orden específico cuando hacemos los ejercicios, normalmente tenemos las siguientes fases: 1. Activación (carrera suave y ejercicios sencillos). 2. Movilidad articular 3. Estiramientos 4. Aceleración (juegos de persecución, esprints, ejercicios de fuerza )

2 - Tipos o Calentamiento general. Teóricamente sirve para cualquier actividad física (la mayoría de ellas). Consiste en involucrar al mayor número posible de músculos. Por ejemplo un jugador de baloncesto y un nadador pueden hacer los mismos ejercicios de movilidad articular con sus brazos. o Calentamiento específico. Es un conjunto de ejercicios realizados antes de participar en un deporte específico. Por ejemplo, conducir el balón o tirar a canasta en baloncesto, pasarse el balón antes de un partido de fútbol, o practicar el servicio antes de un partido de tenis.

3 HANDBALL Handball is a team sport in which two teams participate with the objective to put the ball into the opposite goal by passing with the hands. The team who has scored more goals at the end of the game wins. If both teams have the same number of goals they will tie, with no winner (depending on the tournament they will play one or several over-time periods to get a winner). A bit of history Handball originated in Germany after the First World War. The game was invented by the company Siemens for the workers to play during their lunch breaks. Initially, the game was played with eleven players on a football field. The game first appeared in The Olympic Games in 1936 as an outdoor sport. It didn t appear again in the Olympics until 1972 and was played indoors. The court It is 40 meters long and 20 meters wide. In this picture you can see the most important measurements and the names of the different parts of the court. The goals: The inner space (that the ball has to be thrown through) is two meters high and three meters wide.

4 The ball Made of leather or synthetic material. For the senior category (adults) it has the following measurements: Weight Circumference Women 325 y 400 grams 54 y 56 centimeters Men 425 y 475 grams 58 y 60 centimeters Length of the game: Goalkeeper Two halves of 30 minutes, with a tenminute halftime. In the second half the teams switch sides. Players: Each team is composed of twelve players: seven on the court (one of them is the goalkeeper) and five substitutes on the bench. Positions: Goalkeeper: the player who defends the goal. The only one who is allowed to step into the box and hit the ball with any part of the body. Wingers (1-5): they are placed close to the corners of the court. They are fast and they have a great jump capability and really good technical skills. Left-back and Right-back (2-4): they play closest to the sideline and the 9 meter line. They are usually big players with a very powerful shot. Pivot (6): plays right next to the box in front of the goal, generally with the back facing the rival s goal to see his teammates and to receive the ball more comfortably. They are usually big and strong players. Centre back (3): plays in the middle of the court close to the 9 meter line. He is the player that organizes the attack and who distributes the game. He has to be a player with great tactical vision, good decision-making ability and an excellent technical capability.

5 Rules: There are two kinds of penalties: technical penalties and discipline penalties. Technical penalties: - Traveling: when the player makes more than 3 steps without bouncing. This is punished with the loss of the ball. - Double dribbling: when a player bounces the ball, holds the ball, and then bounces again. This is punished with the loss of the ball. - Interior movement: the players cannot step in the box at any time; if they do it will be a foul. - Interior defense: if a player defends from inside the box it will be a penalty (7m throw). - Penalty throw (7m throw): this is a throw from the 7-meter line with only the defense of the goalkeeper (who can go until the 4-meter line). This is the highest penalty that can be given to the defending team for: o Stopping a clear chance of scoring by an illegal action. o Passing the ball to the own goalkeeper if he s inside the box. - Free throw: the action of starting the game again when the other team has fouled. Discipline penalties: - Yellow card: the referee shows a yellow card when a player makes a foul that is clearly illegal. The same player cannot get more than one yellow card. - Exclusion: when the player shows unsportsmanlike conduct he/she is excluded for two minutes (he/she has to remain on the bench and his team plays with one less player). - Disqualification: when a player has been excluded three times. He cannot play again for the rest of the game, but after two minutes another player can play in his place. - Expulsion: this only takes place with really serious infractions. The referee directly shows the red card to the player. He cannot play again during that game and the team cannot replace him with another player.

6 BALONMANO El balonmano es un deporte colectivo en el cual participan dos equipos y que tiene como objetivo introducir la pelota en la portería contraria jugándola con la mano. Ganará el encuentro el equipo que haya logrado más goles al finalizar el tiempo de juego; en caso de que ambos equipos tengan igual número de goles habrán empatado, no existiendo ganador (en función de la competición se jugaría una o varias prórrogas para obtener un vencedor). Un poco de historia: El balonmano se originó en Alemania después de la Primera Guerra Mundial. Fue inventado por la compañía Siemens, para los trabajadores durante sus descansos para comer. Inicialmente, el juego se jugaba con once jugadores en un campo de fútbol. Este deporte apareció por primera vez en los Juegos Olímpicos en 1936 como deporte al aire libre. No volvió a aparecer en los Juegos hasta 1972 y ya fue como deporte indoor. Terreno de juego: Mide 40 metros de largo y 20 de ancho. En el siguiente dibujo se pueden observar cada una de las medidas y nombres de las partes del campo. Porterías: El hueco interior (por donde se debe introducir el balón para marcar gol) mide dos metros de alto y tres de ancho.

7 Balón: De cuero o de material sintético. Para la categoría sénior (adultos) posee las siguientes medidas: Peso Circunferencia Mujeres 325 y 400 gramos 54 y 56 centímetros Hombres 425 y 475 gramos 58 y 60 centímetros Duración del partido: Dos partes de 30 minutos, con 10 minutos de descanso entre las mismas. Al reiniciar el partido los equipos cambian su lado del campo, de modo que ahora atacan la portería que antes defendían y viceversa. Jugadores: Cada equipo está formado por doce jugadores: siete en el campo (uno de ellos portero) y cinco suplentes en el banquillo. Posiciones: Portero: es el jugador que defiende la portería del equipo. Es el único jugador que puede pisar el área de su equipo y, dentro de esta, golpear el balón con cualquier parte de su cuerpo. Extremos: se sitúan próximos a las esquinas del campo. Son jugadores muy rápidos, con mucha capacidad de salto y grandes recursos técnicos. Laterales: juegan próximos a la línea de banda y cerca de la línea de 9 metros (la discontinua). Suelen ser jugadores altos y con un lanzamiento muy potente. Pivote: juega justo en la frontal del área, generalmente de espaldas a la portería para poder ver a sus compañeros y recibir el balón con mayor comodidad. Suelen ser jugadores muy fuertes y corpulentos. Central: juega en el centro del campo aproximadamente a la altura de la línea de 9 metros (la discontinua). Es el jugador que organiza el ataque del equipo y distribuye el juego. Debe ser un jugador con gran visión táctica, alta capacidad de decisión y con una excelente técnica.

8 Reglamento: El reglamento diferencia dos tipos de sanciones: las técnicas, y las disciplinarias. Sanciones técnicas: - Pasos: se producen cuando el jugador que posee la pelota realiza más de tres pasos sin botar la pelota. Se sanciona con la pérdida de posesión. - Dobles: el jugador que posee el balón, lo bota, lo vuelve a coger y lo vuelve a botar. Se sanciona con la pérdida de posesión. - Circulación interior: los jugadores no pueden pisar el área en ningún momento para desmarcarse o lanzar; si lo hacen se les pita falta. - Defensa interior: si un jugador defiende a un atacante desde dentro del área se sanciona con penalti. - Penalti (7 metros): Consiste en la realización de un lanzamiento desde la línea de 7 metros con la única oposición del portero rival (el cual puede salir hasta la línea de 4 metros dentro de su área). Es la sanción máxima que se aplica al equipo defensor por: o Impedir de manera antirreglamentaria la culminación de una ocasión manifiesta de gol. o Realizar un pase a nuestro propio portero cuando está dentro de su área. - Golpe franco: así se llama al saque de una falta para poner el balón en juego cuando el equipo contrario ha cometido una infracción. Sanciones disciplinarias: - Amonestación: el árbitro enseña una tarjeta amarilla a un jugador por realizar una falta claramente antirreglamentaria. Un mismo jugador no recibe más de una tarjeta amarilla y lo normal es que un equipo no reciba más de dos o tres tarjetas (siempre al inicio del partido). - Exclusión: cuando el jugador presenta una actitud antideportiva se le sanciona con dos minutos de exclusión del juego (debe estar en el banquillo y su equipo juega ese tiempo con un jugador menos). - Descalificación: se produce cuando un jugador es excluido tres veces, no pudiendo volver a jugar en lo que reste de partido. Su equipo podrá recuperar la igualdad numérica al pasar los dos minutos de la exclusión. Expulsión: se produce ante infracciones muy graves. El árbitro muestra la tarjeta roja directa al jugador, el cual no podrá volver a jugar en lo que resta de partido y su equipo deberá disputar el resto del encuentro con un jugador menos.
