Ready or not, Christ is on his way and our level of preparation will determine just how much we are able to receive. What are the first words that the angel Gabriel says? Cuáles son las primeras palabras que dice el ángel Gabriel? Lucas 1: Mientras nos preparamos para celebrar la Navidad de mañana reconocemos que el mundo es imperfecto tal como era cuando Gabriel vino a María, y Jesús vino al mundo. As we fill the darkness with light, the darkness fades away. When we shine our light, there is no room for the darkness. One single light can fill a room and one single life can heal a world. 3 Gospel Question of the Week: December 31, 2017 The Holy Family of Jesus, GRADES 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 Mary and Joseph Luke 2:22-40 We can look to Mary and Joseph as parents who took the time to observe the practices that are part of their faith. Passing on the faith was important to the Holy Family. Even though we all have busy lives, we must be like the Holy Family and take a break from our routines to observe our faith. What town did Mary and Joseph return to with Jesus? A qué pueblo regresaron María y José con Jesús? 4 Gospel Question of the Week: January 7, 2018 The Epiphany of the Lord GRADES 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 Matthew 2:1-12 The presence of the Magi illustrates that Jesus came to heal the world, not just a select group of people. These travelers from afar show just how powerful the message of hope and forgiveness is. God reaches out with love to all people without regard to where they were born or what they look like. John 1:35-42 As the Church returns to Ordinary Time, we are met with the excitement of the disciples as they recognize and follow Jesus. While we return to the color green and move away from the excitement of the manger, we are met with stories about the ministry of Jesus. It is in the ordinary time that our lives are truly lived out and our missions completed. We must be ready with our knowledge of the Bible and our faith, so we can gently and lovingly keep guiding everyone toward Jesus message of peace and love.
