1 Adjetivos Posesivos I. You have already learned to express possession. Do you remember? mi(s) my tu(s) your su(s) his her your (Ud.) nuestro(a,os,as) our vuestro(a,os,as) your su(s) their your (Uds.) II. Reglas #1. The adjective describes the noun and must agree with it. ejemplo: Mis hermanos son menores. Nuestra casa es grande #2. Possessive adjectives are placed before the noun (like English) ejemplo: Mi casa es su casa. #3. Possessive adjectives are repeated in a series. ejemplo: Dónde están mis calcetines y mis zapatos? Now, do the attached exercise. Keep in mind that you are the young lady with the dark hair. Also, look at whom she (you) is (are) looking. That will determine whose it is. Please make everything agree. III. How many ways can su be translated? List them: Because su has 5 meanings, it can be very confusing and we must clarify to whom something belongs. ejemplo: su hermano can be translated as: his brother = el hermano de él her brother = el hermano de ella your brother = el hermano de Ud. their brother = el hermano de ellos (ellas) your brother = el hermano de Uds.
