GALLARDO When a parish receives a new pastor, it is customary for the Archbishop to formally install the new pastor in a special ceremony celebrated during Sunday Mass. Publicly celebrating the appointment of a new pastor is important because in addition to being a significant moment in the life of the priest, it is a landmark event for a parish. All are welcome and encouraged to be present for this special day in the history of the Cathedral. In recognition of the full community, the Mass will be bilingual. ALL SOULS EVENING PRAYER AND CONCERT WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2016 EVENING PRAYER: 7:00 PM ~ CONCERT: 7:45 PM On the Feast of All Souls, we come together to remember with thankfulness those we have known and loved who have died. The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will celebrate All Souls with Evening Prayer and a concert featuring the Duruflé Requiem performed by the Cathedral Choir, Samuel Soria, organist and Frank Brownstead conductor. Very Reverend David F. Gallardo, Pastor of the Cathedral, will preside at Evening Prayer and the names of those who have died in the last year will be read. At the close of the concert, the Choir will process to the Mausoleum, followed by all who wish to visit their friends and family interred in the Mausoleum. This unique exhibition highlights the Dominguez Family s contributions to the Catholic Community in Los Angeles.
