CHI-043 PRESENTATION The CHI-043 room terminal is a device capable of connecting to the network through WiFi, eliminating the use of an ethernet cable for the Nurse Call devices interconnection. The room terminal will need to be configured to connect to a specific network. The CHI-043 comes pre-configured with a default network and password. CHI-043 DESCRIPTION ALCAD - 5

DEFAULT NETWORK CONFIGURATION The CHI-043 has a specific network configuration assigned by default. The default configuration is the following SSID: alcad Password: alcadnursecall Cipher: WPA2 CHI-043 FEATURES The CHI-043 has two working modes that can be chosen from the device menu: -AP (Network configuration): In this mode the embedded web application can be accessed in order to configure connectivity to the desired wireless network. -Client: The CHI connects in client mode to the previously configured network in the AP mode. In this mode the CHI-043 acts as a wired CHC-04X (Registered with the Nurse Call server). ALCAD - 6

CHI-043 MENU OPTIONS The CHI-043 menu is composed of a series of options, some can be edited and others are read-only. To access to the menu you must continuously press the menu button until hearing a long beep. After that sound, you must enter the device password (by default 00000) and you will gain access to the device s menu: ALCAD - 7

CHI-043 CONFIGURATION (AP MODE) The CHI is prepared to work in AP mode by default, therefore the method to configure the device would be by using another wireless device such as a laptop or a smartphone. A CHI-043 in AP mode can be detected by wireless devices as each CHI-043 in AP mode has its own SSID. The naming scheme of the SSID is CHI_XXXXXX where XXXXXX would be the 3 last elements of the device s MAC. For example: If the CHI-043 has the MAC 00:1D:21:D3:77:C5 its SSID would be: CHI_D377C5. In order to connect to the CHI-043 to the network, the following AP password must be entered: Password: alcadnursecall Once connected to the network of the access point, we can access to the web configuration tool by the I.P. address of the device: IP: 192.168.1.1 Once having accessed the configuration tool, different points can be configured. 1: Mode selection Auto: Automatic detection of close APs Manual: Write the SSID manually 2: List of detected networks 3: Information of the selected network. 4: Network s password. 5: Save the selected network AUTOMATIC MODE As described previously, the automatic mode is based on connecting to access points with close proximity for easy detection. The process is simple, below is shown a series of screen captures that demonstrates the different options graphically. ALCAD - 9

MANUAL MODE The manual mode requires the introduction of the SSID as well as the password. This mode allows for hidden SSIDs that require manual registration. The process to configure the CHI-043 manually allows the flexibility of entering the SSID manually. ALCAD - 10

CHI-043 CLIENT MODE After the CHI-043 is configured in AP mode, the CHI-043 will have to be changed to operate in client mode from the configuration menu in order to connect the room terminal to the network. To make the change maintain the MENÚ button pressed until hearing a long beep. Afterwards, the OK button will need to be pressed twice. The data that must be shown in the LCD screen is the ID (identifier) of the CHI- 043. When ID is shown, the right arrow will have to be pressed four times. Once arriving in this position, the message shown will be: WIFI MODE AP. To change to client mode, the procedure is: ALCAD - 11

Press the OK button one time, the letter E will be shown in the upper right hand part of the LCD screen. Press the right arrow button one time, changing the message from AP to CLIENT. Press the OK button in order to delete the E shown in the upper right hand part of the LCD screen. Press the button MENÚ again to apply the changes. The CHI-043 will reboot t changes are applied. With this change the CHI-043 will be only able to communicate with the other devices through WiFi. The WiFi communication will be established automatically with the connection parameters that were introduced previously in the AP mode. In case any wrong data was entered, the CHI-043 can be configured to AP mode to configure the device again. TRANSPARENT BRIDGE ALCAD - 12

CHI-043 REGISTER CHI-043 registration process consists in identifying the CHI-043 in the system and customizing its operations in the Nurse Call Manager. The process must be done with the CHI-043 powered on and connected to the network. Moreover, CHI-043 will have to be in the same VLAN as the Nurse Call server. To register the CHI-043, it is necessary to know the identifier of the device. The identifier will associate a CHI-043 and the configuration. The identifiers can be viewed in the Room terminals section of the Nurse Call Manager. In order to change the identifier, access to the menu and change the numeric ID. The change can be made easily and has been shown previously in CHI-043 menu options (Page. 5). If the ID is not registered in the system, the CHI-043 will show the following message in the LCD display: DEFAULT LOCAL SERVICE If the CHI-043 has been registered correctly in the system, it should show the following message: ROOM NUMBER IN SERVICE ALCAD - 13

PRESENTACIÓN CHI-043 La central de habitación CHI-043 se trata de una central con la capacidad de conectarse a la red vía Wifi, eliminando la necesidad de usar un cable ethernet para conectarse con el resto de dispositivos del sistema de paciente enfermera. Dicha central de habitación tendría que ser configurada para poder conectarse con una red en concreto si bien ya tiene introducida una red por defecto. DESCRIPCIÓN CHI-043 ALCAD - 17

CONFIGURACIÓN DE RED POR DEFECTO Tal y como se ha descrito anteriormente, el CHI posee una configuración de red asignada por defecto que puede ser usada en caso de no desear configurar la central. La red a la que se conectaría por defecto sería: SSID: alcad Contraseña: alcadnursecall Cifrado: WPA2 CARACTERÍSTICAS CHI-043 El CHI-043 dispone de dos modos de funcionamiento seleccionables desde el menú del CHI: -AP (Configuración de red): En este modo se permite acceder al configurador Web embebido en el módulo Wifi y configurar la red inalámbrica a la que se conectará el CH. -Cliente: El CH se conecta en modo cliente a la red configurada previamente en modo AP. En este modo el CH se comporta como un CHC cableado (Enlace con el servidor paciente enfermera). ALCAD - 18

OPCIONES MENÚ CHI-043 El menú de CHI-043, está compuesto por una serie de opciones, algunas de las cuales son editables, mientras que otras simplemente sirven a modo informativo. El entrar en el menú de este dispositivo consta de únicamente mantener pulsado brevemente el botón MENÚ hasta escuchar un pitido de largo. Tras dicha pulsación tendríamos que introducir la contraseña del dispositivo (por defecto 00000) y de ahí pasaríamos al menú del dispositivo en sí; el cual estária formado por las siguientes opciones: ALCAD - 19

CONFIGURACIÓN CHI-043 (MODO AP) EL CHI está por defecto preparado para trabajar en modo AP, con lo que la forma de configurarlo sería mediante un equipo que tenga capacidad de conexión a la red vía wifi; lo cual significaría que generalmente sería necesario hacer uso de un portatil con antena wifi o un smartphone. Todo CHI que esté en modo AP puede ser detectado por cualquiera de dichos dispositivos ya que cada CHI en modo AP tendría su propio SSID, cuya composición sería CHI_XXXXXX donde XXXXXX serían los últimos 3 elementos de la MAC del dispositivo. Ejemplo: Si el CHI tuviese la MAC 00:1D:21:D3:77:C5 su SSID sería: CHI_D377C5. Para poder conectarnos a la red del CHI necesitaríamos introducir la contraseña del AP, que sería: Contraseña: alcadnursecall Una vez conectados a la red del punto de acceso, accederíamos al configurador de éste vía web para ajustarlo a nuestras necesidades; la IP por defecto del dispositivo sería: IP: 192.168.1.1 Una vez dentro de la configuración del dispositivo, podemos configurar diferentes puntos. 1: Selección del modo: Auto: Detección automática de APs cercanos Manual: Escribir el SSID manualmente 2: Lista de redes detectadas 3: Información de red seleccionada. 4: Contraseña de red. 5: Guardar la red seleccionada MODO AUTOMÁTICO Tal y como se ha descrito anteriormente, el modo automático se basa en la detección de puntos de accesos cercanos y en la conexión con estos. Si bien el proceso es muy sencillo, a continuación podreis observar una serie de capturas de pantalla que muestran las diferentes opciones de forma gráfica. ALCAD - 21

MODO MANUAL El modo manual ofrece mucha menos flexibilidad que el automático pero a cambio ofrece un proceso mucho más preciso, ya que te obliga a introducir tanto el SSID como la contraseña a mano. Eso te permite introducir SSIDs que se encuentren ocultos y que requieran introducir manualmente el nombre de éstos. El proceso para ajustar el CH en modo manual es casi tan sencillo como el automático, con la diferencia de que hay que ser cuidadoso con la introducción del SSID. ALCAD - 22

CHI-043 MODO CLIENTE Una vez configurada la red en modo AP, habría que cambiar al modo cliente desde el menú de configuración de la central de habitación para que la central de habitación pueda conectarse a dicha red con normalidad. Para realizar el cambio en cuestión habría que mantener pulsado el botón MENÚ hasta escuchar un beep, tras lo cual habría que pulsar el botón OK dos veces. El mensaje que tendría que mostrarse en pantalla tendría que ser el ID (identificador) del CHI. En caso afirmativo, habría que pulsar la flecha derecha cuatro veces. Allí el mensaje mostrado tendría que ser WIFI MODE AP. Para cambiar al modo cliente, el procedimiento sería: ALCAD - 23

Pulsar el botón OK una sola vez, mostrando la letra E en la zona superior derecha de la pantalla. Pulsar la flecha derecha una sola vez, cambiando el mensaje a AP a CLIENT. Pulsar el botón OK de nuevo, lo cual eliminará la letra E mostrada en la zona superior derecha. Pulsar el botón MENÚ para aplicar los cambios; dicha operación hará reiniciar la central de habitación para aplicar los cambios al 100%. Este cambio hace que el módulo de ethernet RJ-45, deje de funcionar y que la central de habitación solamente sea capaz de comunicarse con el resto de elementos vía wifi; comunicación que haría de forma automática al haber configurado previamente el dispositivo cuando se encontraba en modo AP. En caso de haber cometido un error durante el proceso de configuración, podemos volve TRANSPARENT BRIDGE ALCAD - 24

REGISTRO CHI-043 El proceso de registro del CHI consiste en identificar el CHI en el sistema para personalizar su modo de trabajo dependiendo de la configuración especificada dentro de NurseCallManager. Este proceso debe de ser realizado con el CHI conectado encendido y conectado a la red inalámbrica. Además dicho CHI debería estar dentro de la misma red que el servidor. Para registra el CHI, es necesario conocer el número identificador de éste; número que iría relacionado a una zona y a una configuración en particular. Este identificador se puede conocer dentro de la sección Centrales de habitación de NurseCallManager. Para cambiar el identificador tendríamos que entrar en el menú y cambiar el ID; cambio que puede realizarse con facilidad, tal y como se ha visto en la sección Opciones menú CHI-043 (Pág. 5). Si el ID introducido no estuviese registrado en el sistema, el CHI mostrará los siguientes mensajes en el dispositivo: POR DEFECTO SERVICIO LOCAL El CHI, en caso de estar correctamente registrado en el sistema, debería mostrar el siguiente mensaje: NÚMERO DE HABITACIÓN EN SERVICIO ALCAD - 25
