LUCY FINAL VOWS Many people attended the mass last week followed by a reception in the school gym and Heafey hall. Special thanks to all of our volunteers for coordinating a beautiful and memorable event in the life of our parish. Check out our parish website to see the many photos from the mass, reception and dinner: stbartselmhurst.org ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL 2014 Last weekend we asked everyone to consider a pledge to be paid over the next ten months. The response so far has been encouraging. Remember our parish goal this year is $86,000. Everything received over goal remains here for parish use. We hope that every parishioner will consider making a generous pledge to this year s appeal. Working together we will achieve the goal and more. For those who were not here last weekend, envelopes will be available at the masses today. These envelopes should be returned and completed and placed in the Sunday collection. LINE DANCING meets every Sunday at 6 p.m. in the school gym Judge Street. All are invited to participate. Line Dancing will be cancelled on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. SCHOOL PASSION PLAY Our parish school will offer a beautiful play based on the Passion of JESUS on Monday of Holy Week April 14 immediately after the 9 a.m. mass in the main church. Those who are able are urged to attend. Father Rick s is still the same: stbartselmhurst@gmail.com MINISTERS EVENING OF PRAYER Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers (English and Spanish) will gather for an opportunity for prayer and reflection on Wednesday, April 9. We will offer two times to make it convenient for everyone at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Please contact the parish office to let us know what time you will be coming. The gathering will take place in the chapel. EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT Every Thursday from 9:30am to 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. HEALING MASSES: In preparation for Holy Week which begins on Palm Sunday (April 13), we will offer two masses of healing and peace on Thursday, April 10 th at 9 a.m. in English and 7:30 p.m. in Spanish. Bring your burdens and pains to the Lord! Katie Marquez with NEW NAME will lead us in song at the English mass and Elias Tavares will lead us at the Spanish mass. The masses will take place in the chapel- all are invited. THANK YOU! Special thanks to the Guadalupe Committte who recently donated $315 and the Cursillo Group that donated $200 all to our parish! MAT FLOW GROUP The Mat Flow Group now takes places every Monday beginning at 8 p.m. in Heafey Hall (room under the chapel church). Everyone is invited to attend if you don t have a mat we will provide one for you. We pray; we do yoga exercises and we have lots of fun. Open to all men and women of the parish 18 and over. DIVINO NINO DEVOTION We invite everyone to attend our new Divino Nino group which will have its meeting and mass on the SECOND Tuesday of every month. The NEXT prayer meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m. in the Chapel. Following the meeting we will have the novena at 7 p.m. and mass at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. After mass refreshments in Heafey.
