Make sure the pool has adequate circulation. The pool water must completely circulate through the pump filter at least 1 to 2 times per day. This usually requires 8 to 12 hours. Check with your dealer for the proper circulation time for your pool. 2. Before beginning with any pool care program, you must first balance your pool water. Take a water sample to your local pool professional or use a complete test kit that will test for the following important elements. Replacing an Aqua Smarte Mineral Reservoir Aqua Smarte Bac Pac 1. Check the front of the box back label of product to make sure you have the correct Aqua Smarte Mineral Reservoir to fit your cycler. (Above Ground Series 6700 for use with Aqua Smarte Cycler Models ) THE AQUA SMARTE MUST BE REPLACED EVERY 6 MONTHS OR AFTER ONE POOL SEASON, WHICHEVER IS SHORTER. SLOT IN FIN INSIDE OF CYCLER 5. AQUA SMARTE AQUA SMARTE BAC PAC 10. Line up the small leg of the bac pac with the small opening in the Aqua Smarte Mineral Reservoir the large leg with the large opening. Lower bac pac into Aqua Smarte Mineral Reservoir until secure. Pac Removal 3. Turn off pump, turn dial to Pac Removal or Setting 0 depending on your model. 4. Open cap. If using bac pac st back to avoid inhaling fumes. 8. To remove bac pac colored caps, grab onto the lip of one cap with a pliers pull up until cap releases. 5 Start-up Operation - Aqua Smarte Mineral Reservoir now with Start-up Water Polishers for easier start up Stabilizer Add a stabilizer or conditioner to the pool at the beginning of the season if the stabilizer level is below 20 ppm. This will prevent chlorine burn off. Follow manufacturer s directions carefully. CHLORINE SHOCK Shock the pool with chlorine to rid the water of all contaminants before beginning. Follow manufacturer's directions carefully. Do not add shock in or near the skimmer or into the cycler as it could damage equipment, risk potential explosion or discolor your pool surface. THIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT TO START-UP. USE CHLORINE SHOCK ONLY Install an Aqua Smarte Mineral Reservoir into the cycler. (See page 1 for directions.) 6. SETTING CONTROL DIAL REPLACE THE AQUA SMARTE EVERY 6 MONTHS OR AFTER ONE POOL SEASON WHICHEVER IS SHORTER. Set control dial by matching up the parameters of your pool on the charts below. THIS IS A STARTING POINT ONLY may need to be adjusted to fit your individual pool needs. See #7 for directions.
