[8 marks] Varios países de Europa han sufrido recientemente años de crisis y no ha sido diferente en España. Europa ya a los bancos españoles y una de las causas fue la burbuja, sobre todo el gasto en proyectos de construcción como el aeropuerto de Ciudad Real en la comunidad de Castilla-La Mancha que costó unos 1000 millones de euros. El aeropuerto es un aeropuerto fantasma a la venta, porque abrió sus puertas en 2008 pero se cerró en abril de 2012 a causa de la crisis financiera. El paseo desde el aeropuerto hasta la estación de trenes incompleto y ahora se vende el aeropuerto de Ciudad Real por 100 millones de euros. Un informe reveló una serie de astronómicas que siguieron aumentando desde la apertura del aeropuerto. La crisis ha dejado sus pistas desiertas y sus pasillos totalmente. El aeropuerto cuenta con una pista de 4000 metros, una de las más largas de Europa, y una terminal de pasajeros de metros con capacidad para cinco millones de viajeros. Los estudios de expertos encargados por los inversores del aeropuerto reflejaron que crearía 6000 puestos de trabajo. Ha sido todo lo contrario ya que hay ahora más trabajadores de la región que están en. El gobierno no prevé la posibilidad de vender el aeropuerto pero los españoles se quejan del del dinero público. 12 12 6 El Hierro y las energías renovables Lee el artículo sobre El Hierro y las energías renovables. 1 El sueño eterno de las energías renovables de El Hierro ahora es una realidad. El Hierro es una isla que está ubicada en el Océano Atlántico, cerca de la costa africana. Después de muchos años de pruebas e investigaciones, la pequeña isla canaria de El Hierro se está convirtiendo paulatinamente en la primera isla de todo el mundo plenamente autosuficiente gracias a fuentes de energía renovables. Este lunes se ha inaugurado allí la Central Hidroeléctrica Gorona del Viento, que tiene el desafío de convertir la isla en la primera capaz de generar electricidad con sus propios recursos. 2 La isla ya no quiere depender del petróleo y otros combustibles fósiles en el futuro. A partir de ahora, sus motores diésel sólo se pondrán en marcha en casos excepcionales de emergencia, cuando no haya ni viento ni agua para producir toda la energía que demande la población. La central planea ser una fuente de ingresos de tres millones de euros anuales y espera emplear esta recaudación para mejorar la infraestructura. 3 En años recientes, España se ha situado a la cabeza de Europa en lo que respecta al uso de las energías renovables y este proyecto innovador ha generado trabajo continuo para más de doscientas personas al mismo tiempo. Se dice que ha significado la contratación de equipos multidisciplinares de ingenieros, arqueólogos y biólogos, entre otros profesionales, de todo el mundo. 4 Las organizaciones ecologistas han señalado que la apuesta de El Hierro es el futuro, ya que reducirá tanto las emisiones como las facturas para los consumidores. Otra ventaja es que con el tiempo el petróleo será más escaso y costoso, pero siempre contaminante. Las energías renovables, por otro lado, provienen de fuentes inagotables, que además son gratis.
