6 May 3, 2015 quinto domingo de pascua Page 6 CATEQUESIS COMUNITARIA Yo soy la vid y ustedes los sarmientos Quinto Domingo de Pascua Semana del 3 de mayo del 2015 Escucha la Palabra (Juan 15:1 8) Cuando escuchas la Palabra proclamada hoy, qué frases o imágenes del Evangelio te llaman la atención? Ve tu vida Pregunta para los niños: Cómo te mantienes conectado con Jesús en tu vida diaria? Pregunta para los jóvenes: Jesús es la vid y nosotros los sarmientos, conectados con Él como nuestra fuente de vida. Cuándo te sientes más conectado con Jesús en tu vida diaria? Cómo puedes hacerlo con mayor frecuencia? Pregunta para los adultos: En qué incide su propia conexión con Cristo, la vid, en su vida diaria? Qué imagen de esta lectura lo ayuda a ver la importancia de esta conexión con Cristo? Actividades para la semana Tomen estas actividades para reflexionar más: Hagan un paseo familiar en la naturaleza y junten ramas de árboles. Cuando lleguen a casa, aten un cordon a las ramas para crear un juguete móvil colgante. Recuerde a cada miembro de la familia de qué manera Jesús es la vid, el apoyo de la vida de cada persona, y de qué manera funcionamos como las ramas para difundir su palabra a todos. Conversen sobre las maneras en que permanecemos en contacto con la vid que es Jesús. Dedicamos tiempo todos los días a orar? Con qué frecuencia leemos la Biblia? Tenemos un lugar tranquilo donde podemos ir a veces para estar solos con Dios? Somos ramas que dan fruto? Hablen a la hora de la comida acerca de alguna buena obra que harán por alguien esta semana. Pida a cada miembro de la familia que diga cómo ayudará a extender el Reino de Dios. Dedique tiempo a visitar a un miembro de la parroquia que no puede ir a Misa el domingo. COMMUNITY CATECHESIS I am the vine; you are the branches Fifth Sunday of Easter Week of May 3, 2015 Listen to the Word (John 15:1 8) When you hear the word proclaimed today, what phrase or image of the Gospel strikes you? Look into your life Question for children: How do you keep yourself connected to Jesus in your daily life? Question for youth: Jesus is the vine we are the branches, connected to Him as our life-source. When do you feel most connected to Jesus in your everyday life? How can you go there more often? Question for adults: How does your own connection to Christ, the vine, affect your daily life? What image from this reading helps you see the importance of this connection to Christ? Activities for the week Take these activities to further reflect: Go on a nature walk with your family and collect tree branches. When you get home, attach string to the branches and create a mobile. Remind each family member how Jesus is the vine, the support in each person s life, and how we serve as branches to spread his word to all. Talk about ways we stay in contact with the vine that is Jesus. Do we take time every day to pray? How often do we read the Bible? Is there a quiet place where we can go sometimes to be alone with God? Are we fruitful vines? Discuss at the dinner table a good deed that you will do for someone this week. Ask each family member to talk about how he or she will help spread the kingdom of God. Take time to visit a parishioner who is not able to come to Mass on Sunday. Perhaps you can read the Sunday readings with the person. STEWARDSHIP BY THE BIBLE CORRESPONSABILIDAD DE ACUERDO A LA BIBLIA 3 DE MAYO DEL 2015 Cuarto Domingo de Pascua El tema común de las lecturas de hoy es la construcción de la Iglesia por medio de Cristo y el amor de unos por otros. En el Evangelio de San Juan, Jesús dice: Yo soy la vid, ustedes los sarmientos. En estas imágenes, Jesús es la vid que da los dones de la vida y la salvación a sus discípulos, las ramas o sarmientos. A su vez, se nos anima a seguir sus mandamientos y vivir en él. Lo hacemos a través de la participación regular en su banquete Eucarístico. Como corresponsables fieles en Cristo, daremos "buenos frutos" para el reino de Dios. MAY 3, 2015 Fifth Sunday of Easter The common theme of today s readings is building up the Church through Christ and love for one another. In St. John s Gospel, Jesus states, I am the vine, you are the branches. In this imagery, Jesus is the vine giving the gifts of life and salvation to his disciples, the branches. In turn, we are encouraged to follow his commands and to live in him. We do this through regular participation in his ic banquet.
