4 Capacidad de su piscina Antes de empezar cualquier tratamiento en su piscina, debe conocer cuál es su capacidad. 5 Desinfección y filtrado del agua El agua, aunque esté clara y transparente, tiene presentes microorganismos que hay que eliminar mediante una correcta desinfección. Una parte del cloro que añadiremos se consume al destruir los contaminantes. El resto permanece como cloro residual, preparado para actuar contra todos aquellos nuevos contaminantes que se introducen a través del viento, los bañistas, etc. A este residual de desinfectante se le llama cloro residual libre. Para asegurar una buena desinfección del agua de la piscina debe mantenerse un nivel de cloro residual libre entre 0,5 y 2 ppm. El consumo de cloro varía con la temperatura, la incidencia solar, el número de bañistas y la polución. Por esta razón, es preciso analizar el nivel de cloro diariamente con la ayuda de un estuche analizador de cloro y ph. El aire, los bañistas y el entorno introducen suciedad al agua lo que causa turbidez y se convierte en el alimento de bacterias y algas. Por ello, es necesario eliminarlas con la ayuda del equipo de filtración. El filtro retiene las partículas de suciedad, manteniendo el agua transparente y cristalina. Es importante que el filtro trabaje en buenas condiciones y que todo el volumen de agua sea filtrada como mínimo una vez al día. 3

6 Puesta en marcha de la piscina Al inicio de la temporada debe realizarse la puesta en marcha de la piscina. Es importante seguir el procedimiento adecuado para evitar problemas durante la temporada de baños Compruebe que el equipo de su piscina (bomba, filtro, etc.) Funcione correctamente. Si fuese necesario, vacíe la piscina y limpie el vaso con CTX-51 desincrustante de superficies extra. La limpieza del vaso debe realizarse en horas de poco sol, manteniendo húmedas las paredes y el fondo. Aplique el producto CTX-51 desincrustante de superficies extra. A continuación, deje actuar el producto durante media hora y enjuague luego con agua. 3. Una vez limpio el vaso, llene la piscina Realice una cloración de choque con CTX-200/gr dicloro granulado (15 g. por cada m 3 de agua) o con CTX-250 tabletas de cloro rápido (1 ó 2 tabletas por cada m 3 de agua). Si su piscina tarda más de un día en llenarse, es recomendable dosificar el producto CTX-200/g. dicloro granulado o el CTX-250 tabletas de cloro rápido durante la operación. Analice el ph del agua y si es necesario ajústelo entre 7,2 y 7,4 con CTX-10 ó CTX-20. Empiece el programa de mantenimiento. 4

7 ph del agua El ph indica la acidez o la basicidad del agua. En una piscina debe mantenerse ajustado entre los valores 7,2 y 7,4. Este intervalo de ph, además de conservar la instalación en óptimas condiciones, es el ideal para la piel y los ojos del bañista. Para mantenerlo entre estos dos valores analice diariamente el ph con un estuche analizador de cloro y ph. Si el ph es superior a 7,4 añada al agua CTX-10 minorador de ph. Si el ph es inferior a 7,2 añada al agua CTX-20 incrementador de ph. Prevención contra las algas Las algas son organismos vegetales unicelulares que pueden desarrollarse y multiplicarse rápidamente en el agua, sobre todo cuando su temperatura es templada. Las esporas de algas se introducen en el agua de la piscina a través del viento, la lluvia, etc. Para prevenir su desarrollo, además del desinfectante, debe usarse un producto antialgas. 5

8 Programa de mantenimiento Diariamente Analice el ph del agua y ajústelo entre 7,2 y 7,4 si es necesario. Analice el nivel de cloro residual libre, manteniéndolo entre 0,5 y 2 ppm. Si utiliza un dosificador, regúlelo de manera que se mantenga este residual de cloro. Limpie el agua de hojas e insectos Semanalmente Limpie los skimmers y cepille las paredes del vaso. A continuación, pase el limpiafondos. Haga un contralavado del filtro y limpie el prefiltro de la bomba. Reponga los compactos CTX-370 compactos de tricloro de los skimmers o del dosificador (ver tratamiento del agua). Añada la dosis de mantenimiento de su producto antialgas Atender a Mantener el nivel de agua correcto. Cuando haga aportaciones de agua nueva a la piscina, analice el nivel de cloro y el ph, si es necesario, ajústelos. Ante cualquier amenaza de lluvia, aumente el nivel de cloro de antialgas. Revise y mantenga en su correcto funcionamiento el dosificador de cloro.

9 Tratamiento de hibernación Cuando la temperatura del agua esté por debajo de 15ºC, ajustar el ph entre 7,2 y 7,6. y realizar una cloración de choque con CTX-200/GR (15 g. por cada m 3 de agua). Deje en funcionamiento el filtro y al día siguiente añada CTX-550 invernador o CTX-551 para piscinas de liner. (5 litros por cada 100 m 3 de agua). Este procedimiento estabiliza el agua para que no crezcan algas, nazcan bichos... Analice el del agua para tener un ph entre 7,2 y 7,6 y deje en funcionamiento el filtro durante una 8 horas para lograr una perfecta distribución del producto en el agua. Realice una limpieza del filtro con CTX-55, recuerde hacer un buen cotralavado y enjuague después de la limpieza del filtro y cubra su piscina con un cobertor. Es importante repetir todos estos pasos a mitad de la temporada invernal. Se puede utilizar el dosificador flotante de hibernación CTX-235 Sleepy en vez del CTX-550 o CTX-551 que evita la descomposición del agua en las épocas en las que no se utiliza. 7

10 Tratamiento del agua Para disponer de una agua cristalina y desinfectada, le recomendamos el siguiente tratamiento. Tratamiento inicial Realice una cloración de choque con 15 g. De CTX- 200/g. dicloro granulado o con 1 ó 2 tabletas de cloro rápido CTX-250, dosificando el producto a través de los skimmers. Tiene que complementar esta cloración con la adición de un producto antialgas tal como el CTX-500/s antialgas concentrado o el CTX- 530 antialgas extra, a razón de 1 litro cada 100 m 3 de agua. Tratamiento de mantenimiento La adición de cloro al agua de la piscina se realiza con el producto CTX-370 compactos de tricloro (1 compacto por cada 20 m 3 de agua, semanalmente). Los compactos se colocan periódicamente en los skimmers o en un dosificador. Aproximadamente una vez por semana, debe comprobarse el nivel de compactos y reponerlos si es preciso. Este tratamiento le proporciona una gran independencia y le asegura un residual de cloro las 24 horas del día. La acción desinfectante del cloro debe complementarse, una vez por semana, con la adición de un producto antialgas, tal como CTX-500/s antialgas concentrado o el CTX- 530 antialgas extra, dosificando el producto directamente al agua, a razón de 1/4 de litro por cada 100 m 3 de agua. 8

11 Precauciones en el uso de los productos químicos Al usar los productos químicos, lea con atención la etiqueta y siga sus instrucciones. No mezclar los productos entre sí. Añadir al agua de la piscina primero uno y a continuación otro para evitar posibles reacciones entre ellos. Cuando diluya un producto, nunca añada el agua sobre el producto. Aplíquelo directamente al agua de la piscina o en dosificadores y skimmers. Mantener los envases cerrados, en lugar seco, protegidos del calor y fuera del alcance de los niños. En caso de contacto con los ojos, lávelos inmediatamente con abundante agua y acuda al médico. Evite el contacto de los productos de piscina con otro tipo de productos químicos. 9

Ajuste el ph entre 7,2 y 7,4. Añada 15 g. CTX- 200/GR Dicloro Granulado por cada m 3 de agua. Seguidamente, añada 1 l. de CTX-41 Floculante Líquido por cada 100 m 3 de agua. Vacíe la piscina y limpie las manchas con CTX- 51 Desincrustante de Superficies Extra. Ajuste el ph entre 7,2 y 7,4. Añada una vez por semana CTX-700 Anti- Calcáreo Extra. Analice el ph y ajustelo entre 7,2 y 7,4. Realice una cloración con 15 g. de CTX- 200/GR Dicloro Granulado por cada m 3 de agua. 10

16 Capacity of swimming pool Before beginning any treatment of your swimming pool, you should know its capacity. 17 Disinfection and filtration of the water Even though the water is clear and transparent, it might still contain bacteria and viruses which transmit diseases and infections. For this reason, it must be disinfected to eliminate all the micro-organisms present. When chlorine is added to the swimming pool, some is used to destroy the contaminants in the water. The remainder stays in the water as residual chlorine, ready to act the bathers, etc. This residual disinfectant is called free residual chlorine must be maintained between 0.5 and 2 ppm. Chlorine consumption varies due to temperature, sunshine, number of bathers, and level of pollution. It is therefore necessary to analyse the chlorine level daily using a chlorine and ph test kit. The air, bathers and the environmental are all continuously introducing dirt into the swimming pool water. This dirt causes cloudiness and becomes the food for bacteria and algae. Because of this, it is necessary to remove it with the aid of filtration equipment. The filter removes the dirt particles in the water, keeping it transparent and clear. It is important that the filter is clean and that the entire volume of swimming pool water is filtered at least once a day. 3

18 Putting the swimming pool into service At the start of the season, the swimming pool must be put into service. It is important to follow the correct procedures to avoid problems during the bathing season Ensure that the equipment in your swimming pool (pump, filter, etc.) Is working correctly. If necessary, empty the pool and clean the pool shell with CTX-51 de-scaler extra. The pool shell should be cleaned at a time when sunlight is weak, keeping the walls and bottom damp. Apply the CTX-51 de-scaler extra. Afterwards leave the product to work for half an hour. 3. Once the pool shell is clean, fill the swimming pool Perform a shock chlorination with CTX-200/gr dichlorine granules (15 g. for each m 3 of water) or with CTX-250 fast-dissolving chlorine tablets (2 tablets for each m 3 of water). If your swimming pool takes longer than one day to fill up, it is recommended to proportion the product CTX-200/g. dichlorine granules or the CTX-250 fast-dissolving chlorine tablets during the filling, to avoid algae. Check the ph level of the water and, if necessary, adjust it between 7.2 and 7.4 with CTX-10 ph reducer or CTX-20 ph enhacer. Apply the maintenance programme. 4

In a swimming pool, the water should be maintained at ph level, apart from keeping the system in optimum condition, is the ideal ph for swimmers skin and eyes. To sep it within these two values, check the ph daily with a chlorine and ph test kit. If the ph is higher than 7.4 add CTX-10 ph enhacer to the water. Prevention of algae Algae are single-cell plant organisms which can develop and multiply rapidly in the water, especially when its temperature is lukewarm. The algae spores are introduce into the water by the wind, the rain, etc. To prevent their multiplication, in addition to disinfectant, an anti-algae product must be used. 5

20 Maintenance programme Daily Analyse the ph of the water and adjust it between if necessary. Analyse the level of free residual chlorine, keeping it between 0.5 and 2 ppm. If your use a dosing pot, adjust it so that the chlorine residual is maintained. Clear the water of leaves and insects. Weekly Clean the skimmers and brush the walls of the pool shell. Then, use the pool cleaner. Clean the pre-filter and empty the basket. Replace the CTX-370 stabilized chlorine tablets in the dosing pot. Add the correct amount of your anti-algae product. See to Keep the water level correct When you add new water to the swimming pool, check the chlorine and ph level and, adjust them if necessary. When rain threatens, increase the chlorine and anti-algae levels. Check the chlorine dosing and maintain its correct working level. 21 Winter treatment When the water temperature is below 15ºC, adjust the ph between 7,2 and 7,6 and do a chlorine shock with CTX-200/GR (15 g. for each m 3 of water). Add CTX-550 (5 l. for each 100 m 3 of water) or CTX-551for liner swimming-pools. This stabilizes water, avoiding algae and microorganisms to grow. Adjust the ph between 7.2 and 7.6, and let the filtration equipment working during 8 hours, for a perfect product distribution in the water. Clean the filter with CTX-55, do a counter-wash, and wash-up. Finally, cover the swimming-pool. It s important replay all these steps in the middle of the winter. It s also possible to use the floating dispenser of winter treatment CTX-235 Sleepy instead of CTX- 550 or CTX-551 that avoiding the decomposition when the swimming pool is not in use. 7

22 Water treatment To have crystal-clear water and disinfected water, we recommend the following treatment: Initial treatment Perform a shock chlorination with CTX-200/gr granulated dichlorine (15 g/ m 3 ) or with CTX-250 fast disolving tablets (1 or 2 per m 3 of water), adding it directly to the pool water or through the skimmers. You have to supplement this chlorination by means of an anti-algae product such as CTX-500/s concentrated anti-algae (1 each 100 m 3 of water) or CTX-530 antialgae extra (1 l. each 100 m 3 of water). Maintenance treatment Chlorine is added to the swimming pool using CTX- 370 stabilized chlorine tablets (1 tablet each 20 m 3 of water every week). The tablets are placed periodically in the skimmers or in a dosing pot. About once a week, you should check the level of tablets and replace them if necessary. The disinfecting action of the chlorine must be supplemented once a week using an anti-algae product, such as CTX-500/s concentrated anti-algae (0.25 l./m 3 ) or CTX-530 anti-algae extra (0.25 l./m 3 ), adding the product directly into the water. 8

23 Precautions when using chemical products When using the chemical products, read the label carefully and follow its instruction. Do not mix with other products. Add to the swimming pool water filter one and the another, to avoid possible reactions between them. When diluting a product, never add water to it, always add the product straight to the water. Keep the packs closed in a dry place, protected from heat and out of reach of children. In case of contact with the eyes, wash them immediately with plenty of water and sep medical advice. Avoid contact of swimming pool chemicals with other types of chemical products. 9
