1 General Intercessions for Ash Wednesday February 14, 2018 Celebrant: My brothers and sisters, Lent puts before us the whole mystery of salvation, through which God s merciful love is revealed in Jesus Christ. We ask God our Father for His help that we may use this season of preparation for Easter wisely and well. Deacon/Lector: For the Church and her members: let them not neglect the grace they have received and seek the mercy of God; we pray to the Lord For the leaders of the world: let them clearly understand that we do not live by bread alone and seek, the reconciliation of all people to each other; we pray to the Lord For those who are caught in the snare of sin: let them be faithful to the Gospel, seeking a change of heart, and turn again to the light of grace; we pray to the Lord For the members of this community: let the giving of ashes today remind us of the passing nature of material things, and seek the things of the spirit; we pray to the Lord Celebrant: Father, guide Your work of our spiritual renewal during this Lent, and help us devote our lives to Your loving service. 2 Intercesiones Generales para el Miércoles de Ceniza, 14 de febrero 2018 Celebrante: Hermanos y hermanas, la Cuaresma nos presenta todo el misterio de la salvación, a través de la cual el amor misericordioso de Dios se revela en Jesucristo. Pidámosle a Dios nuestro Padre ayuda para usar esta temporada de preparación a la Pascua con prudencia y sabiduría. Diácono / Lector: Por la Iglesia y sus miembros: que no dejen la gracia que han recibido y busquen la misericordia de Dios roguemos al Señor Por los líderes del mundo: déjales entender claramente que no vivimos sólo de pan y busquen la reconciliar de todas las personas entre sí roguemos al Señor Por aquellos que están atrapados en la trampa del pecado: que sean fieles al Evangelio, buscando un cambio de corazón, y volviendo de nuevo a la luz de la gracia, roguemos al Señor Por los miembros de esta comunidad: que las cenizas de hoy nos recuerden que las cosas materiales son pasajeras, y busquemos las cosas del espíritu, roguemos al Señor... 3 General Intercessions for the First Sunday of Lent February 18, 2018 Celebrant: As we begin our Lenten journey, we bring our needs, and the needs of the world, before God's throne. Deacon/Lector: That through the ministry of the Church, people of all nations will believe that Jesus is Lord, we pray to the Lord... That governments may foster justice by acknowledging God as supreme over every human law, we pray to the Lord... For the strength to resist the temptation to discriminate against the poor, the immigrant, the elderly, and the unborn, we pray to the Lord For those who are ill, that they will offer their suffering to Christ for the forgiveness and reconciliation of the all world, we pray to the Lord... That all who have died may be purified of sin and blessed with the eternal vision of God, we pray to the Lord... Celebrant: Father, our source of strength in every temptation, hear our prayers. Grant that in all our needs, we may confess Jesus as the only Lord, who lives and reigns forever and ever. Amen.

4 Intercesiones Generales Primer Domingo de Cuaresma 18 de febrero de 2018 Celebrante: Al comenzar nuestro peregrinaje cuaresmal, presentamos nuestras necesidades, y las del mundo, ante Dios. Diácono / Lector: Para que a través del ministerio de la Iglesia, la gente de todas las naciones profesen que Jesús es el Señor, roguemos al Señor... Para que los gobiernos acojan la justicia reconociendo que Dios es supremo sobre toda ley humana, roguemos al Señor... Por la fuerza para resistir las tentaciones de discriminar a los pobres, los inmigrantes, los ancianos, y los no nacidos, roguemos al Señor... Por los enfermos para que ofrezcan su sufrimiento a Cristo por el perdón y reconciliación del mundo entero, roguemos al Señor Para que todos los que han fallecido puedan ser purificados de todo pecado y bendecidos con la visión eterna de Dios, roguemos al Señor... Celebrante: Padre, fuente de fortaleza en cada tentación, escucha nuestras peticiones. Concédenos que en todas nuestras necesidades, podamos profesar siempre que Jesús es el Señor, quien vive y reina por los siglos de los siglos. Amen.

5 General Intercessions for the Second Sunday of Lent February 25, 2018 Celebrant: God has given us His only Son. In his name, and by his grace, we now pray. Deacon/Lector: That all who proclaim the Gospel may effectively bring the world to listen to Jesus, the Son of God, we pray to the Lord... That as we acknowledge our heavenly citizenship, we may work to be active and effective citizens of our homeland here on earth, we pray to the Lord That the poor and the homeless may experience the protection of God, we pray to the Lord... For the sick, the distressed, and for all those who have asked for our prayers, we pray to the Lord... For all who have been called to their eternal reward, especially our relatives and parishioners, we pray to the Lord... Celebrant: Father, as you hear and answer our prayer, give us grace to always listen to the voice of your Beloved Son, who is Lord forever and ever. Amen.

6 Intercesiones Generales para el Segundo Domingo de Cuaresma 25 de febrero de 2018 Celebrante: Dios nos ha dado a su único Hijo. En su nombre, y con su Gracia, oramos. Diácono / Lector: Para que todos los que proclaman el Evangelio puedan efectivamente atraer al mundo entero a escuchar a Jesús, el Hijo de Dios, roguemos al Señor... Para que al reconocer nuestra ciudadanía celestial, trabajemos para ser ciudadanos efectivos aquí en nuestra casa terrenal, roguemos al Señor... Para que los pobres y los desamparados sientan la protección de Dios, roguemos al Señor... Por todos los enfermos, los preocupados, y por todos los que han solicitado nuestras oraciones, roguemos al Señor... Por todos los que han sido llamados a su recompensa eterna, especialmente nuestros parientes y parroquianos, roguemos al Señor... Celebrante: Padre, al escuchar y atender nuestras oraciones, danos la gracia para escuchar la voz de tu amadísimo Hijo, quien es Señor por los siglos de los siglos. Amen.

7 General Intercessions for the Third Sunday of Lent March 4, 2018 Celebrant: As we continue our Lenten journey, let us present our needs to God with greater confidence than ever. Deacon/Lector: That our Holy Father, our bishops, and all who teach God's word may proclaim the need for repentance and ongoing conversion, we pray to the Lord... That government leaders may hear the call of God to lead people in the ways of justice and peace, we pray to the Lord... That the catechumens of the Church may be blessed with deeper understanding of God's word and holiness of life as they prepare for their baptism this Easter, we pray to the Lord... That those who are ill may be strengthened by the love of family and friends, and the prayers of the Christian community, we pray to the Lord... That all who have died may be purified of sin and welcomed to the glory of heaven, we pray to the Lord... Celebrant: Father, as you hear our prayers, bless us with the gift of repentance. May our lives bear the fruit of holiness. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

8 Intercesiones Generales para el Tercer Domingo de Cuaresma 4 de marzo de 2018 Celebrante: Al continuar nuestra cuaresma, presentemos ante Dios nuestras necesidades con mayor confianza que antes. Diácono / Lector: Para que Nuestro Santo Padre, nuestros obispos, y todos los que enseñan la palabra de Dios puedan proclamar la necesidad del arrepentimiento y de la conversión continua, rogamos al Señor... Para que los líderes de gobiernos escuchen el llamado de Dios a dirigir a la gente en los caminos de justicia y paz, rogamos al Señor... Para que los catecúmenos de la Iglesia puedan ser bendecidos con un entendimiento más profundo de la palabra de Dios y de santidad de vida al preparase para su bautismos en la próxima Pascua, rogamos al Señor... Para que todos los que se encuentren enfermos, sean fortalecidos por el amor de la familia y amigos, y por las oraciones de la comunidad Cristiana, rogamos al Señor... Para que todos los que han fallecido sean purificados de todo pecado y sean bienvenidos a la Gloria del Cielo, rogamos al Señor... 9 General Intercessions for the Fourth Sunday of Lent March 11, 2018 Celebrant: God's grace has touched us all, and in its strength we now have the courage to present to Him all our needs. Deacon/Lector: That all who serve as ambassadors of Christ by preaching His word may be renewed in faith and in fidelity to their mission, we pray to the Lord... That the nations of the world may enjoy peace and stability, and work in mutual harmony, we pray to the Lord... That those in our families and our parish who experience illness or loneliness may also experience God's grace and consolation, we pray to the Lord... That all our departed brothers and sisters may have eternal rest and joy, we pray to the Lord... Celebrant: Father, may we who have lost your friendship also experience your forgiveness. 10 Intercesiones Generales para el Cuarto Domingo de Cuaresma 11 de marzo de 2018 Celebrante: La Gracia de Dios nos ha tocado a todos, y en su fortaleza encontramos el valor de presentarnos ante Él con nuestras necesidades. Diácono / Lector: Para que todos los que sirven como embajadores de Cristo por la proclamación de Su palabra sean renovados en la fe y en la fidelidad a su misión, rogamos al Señor... Para que las naciones del mundo gocen de estabilidad y paz, y puedan trabajar en mutua armonía, rogamos al Señor... Para que más hombres acojan el sacerdocio y el mensaje de reconciliación de Cristo sea llevado a todos por medio del sacramento de la Confesión, rogamos al Señor Para que todos nuestros familiares y parroquianos que están enfermos o sufren de soledad, también vivan la Gracia y Consolación de Dios, rogamos al Señor... Para que todos nuestros hermanos y hermanas que han fallecido tengan el gozo y descanso eterno, rogamos al Señor... Celebrante: Padre, que los que hemos perdido tu amistad experimentemos tu perdón. 11 General Intercessions for the Fifth Sunday of Lent March 18, 2018 Celebrant: All our hope lies in the saving death and Resurrection of Christ. Through him, we now present our needs to the Father. Deacon/Lector: That our Holy Father and all the bishops, may be steadfast in proclaiming Christ as the eternal Savior, we pray to the Lord... That government leaders may be like the grain of wheat and produce much fruit for their people, we pray to the Lord... That all who have wandered far from God, may seek repentance and have their sins forgiven, we pray to the Lord... For all those preparing for baptism at Easter, that God, give them a pure heart, we pray to the Lord... That more men and women might examine their hearts and discover God s challenge to serve as priests and religious, we pray to the Lord... For all who are alone and forgotten, for the sick, and for all who have been called from this life, we pray to the Lord... Celebrant: Father, You make all things new in Jesus your Son. May we who pray in his name experience your saving power. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

12 Intercesiones Generales para el Quinto Domingo de Cuaresma 18 de marzo de 2018 Celebrante: Nuestra esperanza está en la muerte y Resurrección de Cristo. Por Él, le presentamos nuestras necesidades al Padre. Diácono / Lector: Para que el Santo Padre y todos los obispos, proclamen a Jesucristo como el Salvador eterno, roguemos al Señor... Para que todos los líderes gubernamentales se tornen en granos de trigo y produzcan fruto para el bien de su gente, roguemos al Señor... Para que todos los que se han alejado de Dios, busquen arrepentimiento, y sus pecados sean perdonados, roguemos al Señor... Por todos los que se preparan para ser bautizados en esta Pascua, Dios les de un corazón puro, roguemos al Señor... Para que mas hombres y mujeres examinen su corazón y descubran el llamado de Dios a servir como sacerdotes y religiosas, roguemos al Señor Por todos los que están solos y desamparados, por los enfermos, y por todos los que han sido llamados de esta vida, roguemos al Señor... Celebrante: Padre, Tu renuevas todo en Jesús tu Hijo. Te rogamos que todos nosotros los que oramos en Su nombre experimentemos Tu poder Salvador. Por Cristo nuestro Señor. Amen.

13 Palm Sunday of the Lord s Passion March 25, 2018 Celebrant: We have heard once again that God gave his Son for us upon the cross. We therefore ask him with confidence our needs. Deacon/Lector: That the Church may proclaim the saving death of the Lord with ever greater effectiveness, we pray to the Lord... That through the blood of Jesus, the nations of the world may find the path to justice and peace, we pray to the Lord... For all who will be baptized and received into the Church at Easter, we pray to the Lord... That as Jesus offered His life on the cross for us; more men may offer their lives as priests, we pray to the Lord... That the sick will find comfort in the cross of Christ, and that the deceased will have a share in His resurrection, we pray to the Lord... Celebrant: Father, as we begin this Holy Week, lead us more deeply into the life Jesus brings us by his suffering and death. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

14 Intercesiones Generales para el Domingo de Ramos, 25 de marzo de 2018 Celebrante: Hemos escuchado una vez más que Dios entregó a Su Único Hijo a la Cruz por nosotros. Por lo tanto con confianza le presentamos nuestras necesidades. Diácono / Lector: Para que la Iglesia proclame la muerte Redentora de Nuestro Señor con mayor efectividad, roguemos al Señor... Para que por la Preciosa Sangre de Nuestro Señor, todas las naciones del mundo encuentren el camino hacia la paz y la justicia, roguemos al Señor... Por todos los que van a ser bautizados y serán bienvenidos a la Iglesia en esta Pascua, roguemos al Señor... Para que como Jesús ofreció su vida por nosotros en la Cruz, más hombres ofrezcan su vida como sacerdotes, roguemos al Señor Por los enfermos, para que encuentren consolación en la Cruz de Cristo, y por los fallecidos para que compartan de Su resurrección, roguemos al Señor... Celebrante: Padre, al comenzar esta Semana Santa, ayúdanos a profundizar en la vida que Jesús nos trae a través de su pasión y muerte. Por Cristo Nuestro Señor. Amen.
